The Insane Efforts By Police At Standing Rock North Dakota

jefff are you for the pipeline
Yes I am, but I also understand the concerns the people of Standing Rock have. I have piplelines that go across my land and still get my water from a well. It started out peaceful, then the tribe called for outside people to come in and they lost control very, very quickly.
The tribe asked for these people to come in, the tribe should be taking care of this.
What's sad about the whole situation is that in the past 10 years the Standing Rock tribe really turned their reservation around. Drug use was down, violent crimes were way down, it was clean, etc etc. After this, North Dakota residents aren't going to support their casino and it's their #1 source of income by a long shot.

@Big_Chief_Stove @PEB @Limbo Pete

Here's what your "water protectors" left. Over 23 loads have already been hauled to the dump. All that shit was going to go into the river once the snow melted.

Born, raised, and currently live on a farm in ND. I worked in the oil field during the boom also and I've seen the oil spoils, so I understand their concerns.

Yeah, groups like earth justice that were asked to come in. Standing Rock brought them in, they can clean up their mess.

Did Standing Rock ask them to leave a mess?

Of course they didn't, but where was there plan to deal with all the garbage? They had none.
tge tribe is still responsible for all their garbage.
Why isn't standing rock using their fund raised money to clean up the mess?

Because they were forcibly removed from the camp.

If this mess has you in a tizzy, I can't imagine how much an oil spill must upset you.

There are still people at the camp. It hasn't been closed yet, from what I've seen the 22nd is the final day unless the BIA decides to do it earlier.

Lets see, the bundys were "fighting" for land grazing rights. The "water protectors" were supposed to be protecting the water, the same body of water all their garbage would have went into.
Do you not get the irony behind this?
at this point, I think we're two ships passing in the night

Federal indictments went out for 5 individuals today relating to the burning of the bridge on Oct 27th.
Three of the five men charged with civil disorder and using fire to commit a federal crime are still at large: Brandon Aaron Miller-Castillo, 22; Brennon J. Nastacio, 36, and Dion Ortiz, 20.

“These defendants currently remain fugitives and their whereabouts are unknown,” U.S. Attorney for North Dakota Christopher C. Myers’ office said in a statement. “Law enforcement is requesting the assistance of the public in locating these individuals.”

What a disgrace!

There's going to be record temps all this week and it's supposed to get to 45 degrees. So all that snow is going to melt and water will be heading that direction soon. They're not going to be able to get all that crap picked up before the water comes and washes it into the river. Before they could just scoop up the snow, now it's mud.
The protest is starting to pick up again. The veterans response guys came back up, one of the co-founders got busted with drugs in South Dakota
