Went 5/9 today. Disappointing.
Missed first squat with blue lights, which I was advised were for soft knees.
Retook 232.5k for second and made sure to have my knees locked.
Missed third on depth, two to one. The side referee motioned with his fingers that it was about a half inch too high. 242.5k.
Bench went 2/3. Took 125 and crushed it.
Missed 135 with two blues for butt lifting off bench.
Got 135 on my third, felt my right cheek lift and the ref on that side blue lighted.
Went 2/3 on deadlifts.
227.5 easy
237.5 easy
257.5 missed due to shoulders being forward. Another lifter told me that it was “bullshit”.
Totalled 605. Enough to qualify for Westerns. I will try to actually peak for this meet and perhaps will have better results. I am pleased that it was only technical misses, and not due to insufficient strength. I will redouble my efforts to correct these issues.
