I've been meaning to start this for a while, because it always fascinates me, just how they manage to get away with it with some of them, because they're fucking shameless in some cases. So, we're gonna collate some of the great pro wrestling themes that have been "borrowed".

Obviously, we're not counting ECW, they just used real versions of songs, and called it "Ambient Music", and we're also not counting Stock Music (like the nWo theme, which was used in porn movies, as was Cactus Jack's)

I think we should start this with the most obvious one.

Here's DDP's WCW theme

Which sounds and awful lot like:

And WWE weren't innocent, here's Charlie Haas' theme

Which sounds an awful lot like:

What porn had the nwo theme

I don't know. But it was a piece of stock music called "Rockhouse". Scott Hall got in trouble when he actually said "Now cue the porno music" after a promo.

Now, speaking of the nWo, the Wolfpac had a theme that sounded like this:

Originally, Nash wanted to use this, but they wouldn't let him use it on TV, so they mocked up the Wolfpac theme we all know about, but they did use this on the house shows

Jericho's first theme was an instrumental version of this:

Jericho supposedly didnt know that:

A somewhat ripoff of :
The Damned - Life Goes on:

Which then was ripped off by Killing Joke - Eighties

Then of course by Nirvana for Come as you are

This was the first theme I thought of when I saw this thread. It's literally the exact same song minus the vocals. At least his second theme only ripped off part of Evenflow.

The worst part about all the ripoffs in WCW is all the guys like DDP and Jericho have their WWE themes dubbed in for all the Nitros and WCW PPVs on the network.

When the Sandman came to WWE, obviously, instead of stumping up the cash for Enter Sandman, he had this theme.

Which does sound an awful lot like:

TNA aren't so innocent either.

Kevin Nash had a theme that sounded like this?

Don't even need to put the soundalike, they even called the song "DRE"

Don't forget the grandaddy of them all:
Hulk Hogan's first "original" theme.

I think it was Jimmy Hart but whoever it was, just ripped from the Jim Steinman-penned Bonnie Tyler b-side, "Ravishing."

They even used it for the Saturday morning cartoon.

Wiki and Cagematch both have it listed as the Bonnie Tyler - Ravishing (Instrumental)

Funny you should say Jimmy Hart, on TV Tropes the wrestling theme soundalike term for a while was called JHV or Jimmy Hart Version

Gee golly, I wonder what they were going for here...

Bonus Russo theme!

Sounds an awful lot like...

A slightly more obscure one.

During Undertakers "Big Evil" gimmick, after dropping the Kid Rock and the Limp Bizkit, he had this theme.

Well, WWE went back in time a little, and ripped this riff off

Now, this one is even more obscure.

Ho Ho Lun, the NXT/CWC competitor has this theme

It sounds suspiciously similar to this:

But, I actually prefer this guy's version:

Now, the Macho Man had a theme in WCW

Quite frankly, I've never seen such a hodge-podge of rip off ever,

So, we have this riff from Metallica's "Bad Seed" from the 'ReLoad" album:

The fast bit can be taken from any Slayer song you can think of

You also have the bridge from Metallica's "Seek & Destroy" from the 'Kill 'em All" album:

Then the slow heavy bit is from "River Runs Red" by Life of Agony:
