The GOAT of combat sports is fighting in 5 days

GOD TIER GOD

What's the deal with this guy? Only seen highlights but he's had like 10 fights and already lost. Could he really be that great? Honest question
Two gold medals, 396-1 amateur boxing record, his loss was to grizzled veteran Salido who hit Loma about 77 times in the balls and Loma still arguably won that fight. Either way it was his wake-up call that this isn't the amateurs anymore.

If he wont hang 'em up, then we should all at least wish him the best against Meathead. Lets hope for one more iconic performance from The Last Emperor.

He lost a controversial split decision to a world champion in his second pro bout. He's a 2x Olympic Gold Medalist boxer (Olympic medals take a lot more skill get than world titles in pro boxing) and he's currently a world champion boxer professionally now too. He beat undefeated champion boxers like Gary Russell Jr. Lomachenko is clearly one of the most skilled and athletic boxers of the last 10 years.

That's the thing now, guys like Artur Beterbiev, Dmitry Bivol, Lomachenko, Gvozdyk, Usyk etc are going from top amateurs to pro boxing world champions in 10 fights. They aren't pussies like Americans and Mexicans, they're going after the best right off the bat and showing you how it's done.

The GOAT of combat sports is the GOAT of boxing. MMA still isn't there.

GOAT's don't duck the UFC
What do GOAT s do then...

Get subbed by lw's in their prime? Tap to strikes to a lw while in their prime? Resort to using underhanded tactics like dye pokes against smaller men, and still piss hot? Get boxed up and tapped by 209?

I'd be inclined to agree with this. Much richer history. Though if I was gonna pick any man ever, one on one, in an unarmed fight, I'd go with prime Fedor.

When a guy like JCC Jr can go 46-0.. that shows that they care more about their record than legit competition.

Vasyl is the man.
