I think Pico said he was still there and was just shocked at losing, but watching the replay you could see he definitely went out there for a split second after the fight was done.

It looked like he was going to sleep as he tapped, so then even though the choke was let go it still takes a few more seconds to get oxygen to the brain, so he had to reboot so to speak.

Theres a lot of examples of this with any blood choke, the guy who got Ezekiel choked recently was conscious yet sat there in a stupor for a good 20 seconds waiting for his brain to get back to normal.

I actually just got choked last week in class to an Ezekiel. I didn't go fully out, but i started convulsing a bit. It was weird, but I went right back to rolling with no issues.
