I remembering being completely against Heath Ledger as The Joker. I thought it would be horrible and man, was I wrong.

I’m not sure if he would have won an Oscar if he didn’t die but he still would have been nominated for sure.

Top 5 MCU films for me

    Infinity war
    Ragnarok
    Civil war
    Guardians 1
    Avengers 1

Honorable mentions to Homecoming, Guardians 2 and Dr Strange which was very unique and at times trippy

Which other 2 films make your top 5?

Well Infinity War is definitely my number 1
    Civil War is probably 2
    Guardians is 3
    Winter Soldier is 4
Original Iron Man is 5- some others have surpassed it since but it was really such a breath of fresh air at the time for the genre. Really fun movie with an ideal lead performance.

Outside my top 5 are some great ones though- Avengers is probably 6, Ragnarok 7, Strange 8- and I love all three. Come to think of it, it's very hard to rank these movies lol.

I just know Infinity War is my favorite and Iron Man 3 is probably at the bottom of my list.

Yeah, the Russos don't mess around. I would really love for them to direct the next Thor movie. I think they were chomping at the bit to get Thor in a movie and killed it in Infinity War. A full length, darker-toned Thor could be epic.

I'll take Batman Begins over any single Cap movie, but the Cap trilogy wins.

    TDK = stronger start
    Captain America = stronger finish

    Overall = TKD > CA

They both have a weak link that sticks out like a sore thumb, Cap America 1 & Rises...Damn it Heath Ledger!(and Rises rates above Begins???...what the fuck?) That being said I'll take Begins/Dark Knight over Winter Solider/Civil War.

    Cap just takes this.

I enjoyed First Avenger, and loved both WS and CW. BB was good and TDK is one of the finest comic book movies ever made. But TDKR was such utter shit it drags down the entire trilogy.

Each trilogy has one stinker imo. For me I didn’t care for Cap 1 or TDKR, but the other four movies are all great.

Cap Trilogy. None of the movies let me down, and the shield drop did give it a sense of cohesion to stand on it's own, while still being a part of something else awesome.

I probably like Begins just as much as First Avenger, Dark Knight beats WS but that's like a 9.5 vs a 9/8.5 for me. The last movies though... Rises sucked. It let me down so much. Bane was a let down. Cat Woman had no reason to be there. The fight scenes were bad. And the conclusion just lacked impact. If we knew the character in the first few movies, him taking the mantle would've felt like something. But it didn't, as we just got introduced to the guy.

Civil War was fun as shit, and the end was heavy and had ripple effects in future fun movies. It just offers more all around for me.

This is tough. I recently rewatched The First Avenger and it was much better than I remembered it being. Winter Soldier is fantastic and Civil war was pretty great.

Batman Begins is mostly very good, but the end of the movie drags it down a bit (seriously? Turning the water supply into fear gas? It just didn't jive with the super serious tone of the rest of the movie). DK is of course one of the best comic book films and Heath Ledger's role elevates the movie from great to legendary. Then DKR shits all over the franchise by being a sloppily executed cluster fuck. Granted, I've only seen DKR once, so maybe a rewatch would change my opinion.

Overall I'd say the Captain America trilogy narrowly bests the Dark Knight Trilogy. If DKR was a stronger entry, then it would be the winner.

DK > Winter Soldier > Batman Begins > First Avenger > Civil War >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dark Knight Rises

    The dark knight trilogy easy.

every film was good with the TDK being exceptional.

Cap's trilogy was not nearly as good really none of the films are even in the same class. that being said DC movie compared to MCU= one sided slaughter for MCU

I have never understood the love for Captain America 1. I found it bland, predictable, devoid of tension, tedious and mildly jingoistic. The tesseract-powered weapons were totally useless, which drained the suspense from the movie. If the Howling commandos can beat them so easily, why exactly are we supposed to be afraid of them?

I liked Steve Rogers' character and found his bravery admirable, but that's about it. Even the action wasn't particularly memorable; the only scene that stands out to me was when Red Skull punched the steel panel and left a knuckle print in it.

Nolan's trilogy is far superior, even the much-maligned Dark Knight Rises.

My disdain for Chris Evans as Capt. America is bigger than my hate for Nolan stealing Paprika. I gotta go with batsy for this one.

Ah you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it

The dark Knight trilogy was crap, so Captain America or basically any trilogy over it for me.
