The Crisis in American Fatherhood Starts Early— Happy Father’s Day...

I took 6 weeks of FMLA for my first two kids. You are allowed up to 12 weeks if I remember correctly. Luckily I had that amount of time in sick/vacation.

Hell, America doesn't even have 14 weeks of paid maternity leave.

20 years ago when my wife had our oldest I'm pretty sure got like 6 or 9 weeks of paid maternity leave . . . I didn't get squat, but I took two weeks off anyway.

When I brought up Quebec and it’s 1 year off after having a child (can be shared father or mother), to my new Florida friends, I heard.

“But that’s not fair to the employer” and something about socialism. I said sure, it’s not like society needs kids or anything, who would want to support that?

I then said no that’s not socialism and defined socialism as the working class taking control of the means of production.

There was a lot of silent blinking in the room.....

The Stockholm syndrome is real. You wont be able to make it past the brainwashing the oligarchs have saturated them with.

I keep trying to get through to these people that they could keep on doing that and nothing has to change at all to pass a national healthcare plan but they dont believe me and say socialism

Anytime you try to tell Murkans its possible not to live like slaves or in an oligarchy its always rebutted with cries of 'SOCIALSIM!!"

As of 6:30 PM last night, I'm officially the father of a high school graduate.

I was 17 when he was born, only a junior in high school. I'm 35, soon to be 36 now.

I worked full-time through college, albeit I went to a university with a built-in co-op/internship program.

If I can raise a child as a teenager, work full time, and go to college, then anyone can.

I'm tired of hearing 30-somethings who were able to live out their 20's according to their own plan, who put their wants/needs at the forefront of their lives, and who had had the luxury of "finding themselves" complain about their fucking lives because they have kids now and so they feel the need to rally for "paid paternity leave" so they can mitigate some stress.

<DisgustingHHH>

There is no crisis in American fatherhood. The real issue is weak and ineffectual males wanting to remain children well into their 30's.

Ahaha could you imagine being this much of a bootlicker? Jesus.
It’s crazy, private industry has a lot of Americans trained that they should be wage slaves and they think it’s the pinnacle of freedom. Freedom for corporations to skirt taxes, to be free from any responsibility to their employees, to be free from regulations or punitive lawsuits...

To them it makes them feel like rugged individualists with no idea they truly are bootlickers of multinational corporate interests, while they deride “globalism.” Lmao!

Yes, but pay for them yourself?

Why are you entitled to take money from single people?
That's bow it works. You want social services when you're old? You need to support people having kids. Otherwise you're a net drain. Kids are an upfront cost, but being old is all at the end and can be massively expensive. Especially if, like in your case you have a great deal of anonymous gay sex. Ie lots of stds

Men should work and women stay home. If you can not afford that do not have children. Unless you are liberal then fuck it the tax payers will support your bum ass
How many times did you fap to your daddys picture you alt right cuckling? Happy Fathers Day!

Seriously though, America has some pretty serious problems related to our culture. Our worship of money, and capitalism in general being the main drivers of all our unnecessary hardships.

Sidebar: I spent the first 4 years of my daughter's life as a stay at home father.

if your company can afford to let you go for more than a month; then you arent that important and expendable.
