To be honest I haven't researched enough to know the answer to that (I imagine that he will likely raise taxes in some industry), but thats the purpose of this thread. I want more information about both of the candidates to be dispersed so Floridians can better debate the issues by presenting varied information.

Trumps policies are either irrelevant or just bad for Florida. We already have a shitty charter school system that is from Betsy DeVos' (and therefore Trump's) wet dreams. It literally can't get anymore business centered and less public (and were 47/48 in the nation: so much winning). If we implemented Trump's most extreme immigration policies and kicked out all the illegals, there goes our agriculture and Mara Lago (Agriculture is already suffering). If Desantis guts medicare or some such thing (unsure of where he stands on Healthcare anymore) then all the retirees will be in deep shit. Our health-care regulations are already more lax than an Elephant's asshole, there is literally no regulations he can cut, because there's none left (and we're already no. 1 pill mill and health care insurance scams). So yeah, there's no Republican plundering left to do, he literally can't move to the right in Florida, because the only rightward move left is to sell the government to big sugar and become a corporatocracy.

Gillum is interviewed on Fox News and he expands on his policies and his values. Specifically he mentions how he will pay for his policies by raising the corporate tax rate in Florida from 5.25% to somewhere around the 7% range. This, according to Gillum, will create over $1billion dollars in funds for education.

Yeah, it is "sobering" that it's taken until 2018 for one of the two major parties in the US to develop a contigent of elected officials who are willing to advocate for the same type of social policies that exist in every other developed country.

No possible way that comment wasn't a deliberate racist dog whistle. While we've all probably heard the phrase "monkey around" to mean being silly or roughhousing, nobody says "monkey up" to mean screw/mess/fuck up. That's not even a saying. With "monkey up" as a figure of speech in this specific context to literally mean "elect a black candidate", it's just indefensible. Think of all the different ways he could have said what he was trying to say without using that (seemingly made up) phrase...
