I tend to agree with this but there is someone especially slimy about a religious whacko who consistently takes the high road on issues like this to be possibly caught being a massive hypocrite. Cruz uses this religious stuff to push really unpopular policies.

For me it's their position on climate change and failure to take fact based positions on taxes & spending that are deal breakers for me. Their obsession with making rich people richer is doing massive damage to our planet and our society.

Hypothetically, I could have totally supported a Republican that was solid on those two issues and more or less centrists over Hillary. But apparently acknowledging climate change is a problem get's you excommunicated from the Republican party.

My problem with climate change is that looking back over history and records, climate seems to shift a littler here and there, but there seems to be cycles.

I do not trust government or many "studies" because most of these studies need funding and/or political backing, which in turn creates fudging on the numbers to get that result that favors their funding.
