Tax plan not looking so hot.

Hold on, why don't we run through what actually happens with the money that's received with inheritance. Do they stuff it under their mattresses? Do they throw it in a bank account and let it sit there? Do they spend it? What do you think actually happens with that money?
Why don't you look at the Waltons as an example. Most of their employees are on the dole.

So your plan to get money out of politics is to expand the influence politics have over daily life and therefore the incentive for lobbyists to buy even more favors? Makes sense.
Yes. No billionaires and huge corporations unduly influencing the process. Public funds only for elections. Absolutely no dark money or super pacs. Lobbyists completely removed from the process. Actual equal access to policy makers for advocacy groups and no private institutions allowed to take part. Exxon has to lobby exclusively through nonprofits that they don't control, etc.

No but people, private individuals, generate wealth off the land and capital they own, so your statement was silly that they're hurting people by mere possession of wealth... Another whack job goebbels double speak from you.
At this point I think Jack is just putting together word salads to try and sound smart.

The idea that wealth is finite is not only absurd but provably wrong.

For the simplest example that even a socialist could wrap their minds around:

Think of the wealth Mr. Gates generated with the invention of (at the time) one of the most user-friendly processing systems ever created. Not only did this generate a tremendous amount of wealth for mr. Gates, it created incalculable amounts of opportunities and wealth creation for other people.

Anytime an individual human intelligence discovers a new way to help us all serve one another, wealth is created.

Because land is a finite resource.
which is precisely why those w/ no resources cannot obtain it....so it's a moot pt

what am i missing? rich people buying land and housing prevents only other rich people from buying the same items...

short of a Oklahoma Sooner homestead type of situation obviously where they literally just give free land, but that's not likely

Jesus Christ that's such a whack job nutty statement. Nevermind that its demonstrably untrue just by observation of how animals trace territorial boundaries for themselves, but you only have to acknowledge within yourself or anyone else how they pursue self interests.

Again, the imposition of private property for a lot of the West is much more recent than you think. It's not some mists of time shit that requires us to rely on your embarrassingly simplistic theorizing. Look up the history of English enclosures.

@HomerThompson this is why you are off your rocker if you want to associate yourself with these people. Look how nutbar that statement is.

I notice you do that a lot. Some common-knowledge point gets made, and you react with shock and outrage. That's probably why you're not able to progress beyond repeating slogans from that Australian cultist.

Ownership of resources is zero sum. If one person owns it, everyone else doesn't. Not sure why you're having so much trouble with such an obvious point.

Then I could walk into your house, and take anything I'd like? Its only by virtue of government's imposition that you have any desire for selfish gain or boundaries?
Of course not, because I'd bust your dome up for ya. It's the government that protects the rights of capital though. It at least somewhat keeps pure force out of the equation. Again, it's not perfect, and I have many complaints with the system, but keeping a relative level of peace isn't one of them. It's also why I have no problem with resources being distributed amongst society in an optimal way.

You mean the Waltons as in Walmart that employs 1.4 million people? That provides lost cost products to the less well off?

Excuse you, but how many people are you employing again?

How much of their inherited money created jobs? How much of their wealth is due to the government picking up the slack for their predatory capitalist tactics? I've created a about 15 jobs directly in my lifetime. Thanks for asking. Probably many more than that due to my consumption.

My taxes pay for everyone who works at walmart

If they're so successful why do they need corporate welfare? Surely they can survive without middle class taxpayers subsidizing their employees healthcare and food right? Or are you saying they couldnt survive without that? Or are you saying the middle class should subsidize these things for Walmart and the low prices they get on products is the return on that?

Are English enclosures going to show that humans don't have innately self interested behavior and therefore recognition of private ownership?

@HomerThompson I hope you're following here mate, so you can see how nut bar this guy is.

@7437 you too,

Which part are you against? The middle class getting extorted out of money, or the fact that government has the power to extort money from you and give it to them?

Of course not, because I'd bust your dome up for ya.

So does the government have to coerce you into that action??? Because that's exactly what jack is saying. You only have any interest in territorial claim over anything you have because government forces it on you.

Do you think if the government disappeared tomorrow that there wouldn't be an incredibly violent "reallocation" of existing property?

I won't speak for him, but I'm pretty sure that isn't what he's saying.

@Greoric

Note Jack's sudden shift form:

"Wealth is finite"

to

"Resources are finite"

Moving the goalposts isn't a sign of someone who's debating honestly or in good faith.

Perhaps and lets say it does, but upon that reallocation do the new owners recognize that property as theirs?

Per usual. The goal for a long time hasn't been to affect any change in him. He's has some wires crossed. The goal is just to expose the bad electrical work to everyone else.
