hypothetical match taking place Circa 2001-2002 when Tapia moved up to featherweight.
Who you got and why?
I got Tapia leading on the cards before the fight gets stopped and ruled a DQ.
Tapia is bigger(height even though hamed campaigned longer at featherweight), has faster hands, his footwork is competent enough to keep up with hamed. Hamed has that ingle style but frankly he covers up his faults with his power and he fought a long list of guys who were not at his level, he was a step behind graham in mastery of the style.
Tapia is slick himself and he did a great job of slipping punches and hitting back (watch the fight with barerra). in addition Tapia is an aggressive SOB if Hamed clowned tapia would pull some shit back on Hamed.
There one fight in common is the barrera,
Tapia performed much better against barrera, vs hamed who got clowned on for most of the fight by barrera in almost every department.
