Their way of fighting is too aggressive for someone like Sage. They like to bang because they have the boxing capabilities to do so but even then you see them getting KO'd here and there. It's a risky game in MMA. Sage needs to go train with Wonderboy. The kid needs to learn to be patient and forget trying to go blow for blow. He is too focused on being exciting which wont get him far in this game.

The kid has the speed, and even the cardio to pull off a Wonderboy type performance. Instead of being a sniper which is what Karate is good at, the kid seems to lose his temper/patience, plants his feet, and try to go blow for blow. He seems to have a Brock Lesner type reaction to getting hit. No experience in rolling with punches. I see many concussions in his future unless he changed things. He is only 21 so lets see what happens.

At this stage I feel like he moves well, but they aren't doing enough to fix holes in his game. That's all I can rly say on the matter.

He's yet to turn 22 and is undefeated at lightweight. After five fights in the division.

I think he's off to a good start, and with time he'll learn about things like patience.

He'd probably be best served going back to school and forgetting about MMA, altogether.

He's the next Erick Silva. He'll be an up and coming prospect with unlimited potential till he's 46

I wouldn't say like crap, but for sure he doesn't look great.

Still undefeated in the division though, so he's got something at least, that he can work with and improve considering the young age.

He is fighting UFC level fighters and is winning. It's not like they are signing people outside the org to fight Sage.

Agreed. Wonderboy may not have the most exciting style but it's effective. Sage should change gyms.

BTW weird that wiki has Sage as black belt in Kyokushin - which he is not. Every article about him and his UFC profile says "point-fighting" sport karate.

Alpha Male could be good for him, hasn’t been training full time there long.

He's so young, but should be taken care of before it's too late!

Let AKA train him for the next fight!

He needs to train at SBG with Conor so he can work on his trash talk, granted hes already quite nice and flowy so Artem can keep working wit him on that.

Sage needs to train with the Diaz brothers - they'd beat the middleclass bs out of him soon enough. And he may develope a groundgame and some real life insights in the process.
