Good matchmaking there, Asker should be a easy fight for Tuivasa showcase his skills again. No need to rush with this kid. They got it right, it can be a great night for Aussie MMA.

    Card so far:
    • MW #C Robert Whittaker vs. Luke Rockhold #2
    • HW #5 Mark Hunt vs. Curtis Blaydes #8
    • FLW #5 Jussier Formiga vs. Ben Nguyen #8

    • HW Tai Tuivasa vs. Cyril Asker

Nice fight. The UFC owes Australia. The last 3 cards there have been shit and the one before that was headlined by 2 WMMA fights, even if one was Ronda's intro to the purple pillow. They think they can just toss Mark Hunt in as the main event and throw in some mediocre Aussies in an average-shitty undercard and everything will be okay.

Glad to see they're attempting to develop a good card this time around.

The last 3 Australian cards have been fight nights. The Ufc doesn't owe Australia shit (hilarious people actually think this way though). They were typical fight night cards. Will never understand why some people expect ppv quality cards on fight night cards.

All of these are judgments based on other fight night cards through the years.

Last fight night card: Werdum vs. Tybura main event (meh, but acceptable). Co-main: Bec Rawlings vs. Jessica Rose-Clark.
Prior fight night card: Whittaker vs. Brunson main event (good). Co-main: Holbrook vs. Jake Matthews and the rest of the card sucked ass.
Fight night before that: Hunt vs. Mir (decent). Co-main: Magny vs. Lombard (decent). Rest of card: complete shit.

Fight Night card or not, they have received especially shitty events.

I'm thinking it's going to be Rose vs. Joanna II or Amanda Nunes vs. Whoever.

Rose vs. Joanna II will be an awesome fight. Nunes is exciting depending on the matchup.

Fights night cards are often times shit. If you're getting Hunt vs Mir and Lombard vs Magny on a fight night it's not a half bad card.

Every ppv in Australia has been pretty decent. I just don't think Australia's owed anything. They are getting standard fight night and ppv cards.

Btw anyone else think the 2nd title fight has to be Nunes?

Hw and lhw are 220, mw 221, ww Woodley tuf, lw hoping Connor vs Ferguson at 222, fw Max vs Edgar March/April, bw fly, Tj vs MM prob 222 co main. Women's 125, 115 title fights just happened. It has to be women's 135.

    Poor poor asker.

Went from the easiest opponent in form of a late replacement from China.

To one of the biggest and most powerful prospects in the division.

I was hoping for this fight for Tai.

He's young and inexperienced so I'm glad they bring him along slowly.
