Live action and animated. Past, present, and future. What have been your favourite superhero movies and TV shows of the past 80+ years? Which ones do you think are just OK and which ones are the absolute worst of the worst? How many complete superhero movie and TV series do you own if you have a physical media collection? Have you ANY hope for the future? Can James Gunn turn DC's fortunes around or has the DCEU just done too much damage? Is he even the right person for the job anyway? Can the MCU dig itself out of the hole it's in, or have we only more crap to look forward to?

Share your thoughts.

Lot to unpack there.

Favourite MCU films: Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War and No Way Home.

Favourite DC movies: Batman(1989)Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Batman, Joker.

Favourite non-DC/Marvel movie: Dredd.

Favourite show: The Boys.

Am I optomistic about the future of the MCU/DCEU? Fuck, no. Both companies are circling the drain. Marvel have gotten bloated and lazy, trying to coast on their glory days. Kang is a shit Big Bad, the biggest stars/characters are retired and with Disney Plus on the scene, there's simply too much content out there. Much of it poor quality.

DC's plan, in so much as they can be said to have one, seems to be: throw enough shit at the wall and something will stick. Very occassionally they'll knock it out of the park with something like Joker. But it's more likely to be The Flash. And DC's version of the Multiverse makes the MCU look straightforward.

So over them, didn't even finish End Game.

Best movie though is Kick-Ass and if you want good movies, what the DC animated stuff, that shit is expectional compared to the real life ones.
