I just caught up on the last 4 days of the Basho. Hakuho seemed a bit shaky to me at the start of the Basho, but did he ever pick up steam and get back to his normal form. Big tournament for Takayasu as well. I always like watching Ishiura, so I'm happy he got his kachikoshi.

I still believe that Peak Asashoryu is better than Hakuho

but obviously Hakuho is the greatest in terms of accomplishments, longevity and legacy

yeah, hakuho really did pick up steam at the end of the tournament. great final match against harumafuji too.

fantastic to see takayasu step up as well and get the ozeki promotion.

Impressive displays by a few wrestlers. I thought Ura was particularly good.

The way he'd bring his hips in to lift Harumafuji and defend was insane.
