If he somehow beats Floyd though, the sky is the limit. Trilogy MayMac followed by MacPac or even GGG vs Canelo winner. Who knows what will happen then. He will definitely leave MMA for quite a while in that scenario, that's for sure.

Yes you're totally correct, boxing promotion has become so painfully transparent and obvious it actually hurts. And the worst thing is... the vast majority of brainless sheep just go along with it, lapping up the elaborate posts & video snippets on social media so they have something else to talk about at the water cooler and put on the "fight fan" persona... it's unfortunate and pathetic.

What's worse, these hyperbole practises are now seeping into our beloved MMA and being used to sell high-profile UFC fights... like the farcical McGregor/Diaz II and no doubt the rest of the shamefully bizarre match-ups we have in store in the near future - too many to mention.

Interest seems to be frantically strummed up in the form of excessive hyperbole with clever use of social media, seemingly out of nowhere, by dramatic preview reels interspersed with highly dramatized press conferences.
