Just recently to keep things fresh I am switching from my Hindu-squats to Air Squats. However, I decided to try something to see where I feel the burn, doing the squats with my legs a little bit more past my shoulders that put me in a horse-stance when in the down position. Bodyweight, weights, whatever, when it comes to squats, having your legs spread so that you end up in a horse stance is there any list of positives, negatives, etc..?

    Horse stance = sumo stance?

When I go with a wider stance on squat, my ass is tighter than a midget nun's the next day.

Air squats? Do you mean "jumping squats"?

Since your into bw stuff you could try this nasty little drill for the legs if you like:

Start with a wallsit for 1-2 minutes, then directly jog 30-50m and do 20 jumping squats explosively, then jog another 30-50m and do 40 hindusquats, imediatelly sprint back to the wall you started with and resume the wallsit. That is one -rotation-, complete as many rotations that you can before you cant walk more, and no rest at all...;) (all numbers can naturally be adjusted...)

I have done that drill a few times at submissionwrestling practise a few times now and let me tell you its a killer....;)

Positives of wider-stance squats (whatever you like to call them):

    - better posterior chain development
    - better posterior chain development
    - better posterior chain development

That's all I have to say about that.
