Sportsbook odds for Bellator HW Grand Prix.

Why don't they match a HW with a LHW. Letting the smaller guys fight takes the fun away

Sonnen - Fedor
Rampage - Mir
Meathead - Bader
Country - Mo

They really should have mixed the LHWs with the HWs. I don't know why they want to knock off two of their four heavies by pairing them up.

I think the match-ups are flawless, and really show some matchmaking savvy from the Bellator brass. You have to think about your priorities as a promotion. And you have to order them. In order...

1) Fedor and Mir have to fight. Boom, done, first round.

2) Try to get Chael through. Biggest name outside Fedor and Mir, and will do the best job of promoting future events. Also, possibly the best story line, as he is the one middleweight. Boom, Rampage, Chael's best shot.

3) Make the fights as "fair" as possible, for integrity of the event. All the match-ups are about as even as the first round could be. But you still have the intrigue of mismatches locked in for round 2.

In the end, I think they played it perfect.

I personally think big country looks like the best odds.
how epic would it be if he took home the title? He's definitely the guy I would like to win, but I can't place him higher than 4th on the favorites list haha. He definitely has the toughest first round matchup IMO

.

Chael is boring AF in the cage. Him winning hurts them, will be nothing but a hold down until bell rings. People pay to see him lose, he'll talk his way back into tourney 'when' one of them gets injured. Rampage is too timid to do anything about it, so he'll just let Sonnen hold him 15 minutes. Then hopefully Mir takes his arm out the cage. Fedor is Fodder at this point.

Mitrione(Favorite) : 2-1

Bader : 2.6-1

Mir : 3.6-1

Fedor : 5-1

Big Country : 5-1

King Mo: 10-1

Chael P: 13-1

Rampage : 15-1

*Any other fighter : 5-1

I gotta think Mir is the best bet at these odds. I feel like he has the easiest path to the title. He could potentially be the favorite in all 3 fights.

Then I actually think Rampage is the best long shot bet. Not only does he get the biggest odds, but I think he's more live than Mo and Chael. I could actually see Rampage getting to the final. But I think Chael and Mo are almost 0% to even get there.

My position will likely be big bet on Mir, small bet on Rampage. Also might be worth a small bet on that alternate at 5-1. If Kongo or Shane gets in there, they're probably favorites over anyone.

Where's your allowance money going Sherbros?

After looking at brackets, I agree - I like a well rested Mir

I feel bad for Mousasi. I'm starting to think his broken eye socket was a freek thing ....an act of God cause he/her didn't want to see Gegard throw his hat in and beat up his hero, Fedor.

Mitrione is massively overrated here. He went from losing two straight in the UFC to getting dropped in all three of his wins against subpar competition. I'd say Mir has the best chance to win.

Bc via iron chin and ko money. Making $$ off bc mir and Fedor parlays. GOod money to be made..
Good luck guys.

Ps
Eat shit and live heavy shertards...

The drug testing methods will determine who I choose as the winner.

Lol tears would be shed if the finals wound up Big Country and Fedor and Fedor just got ktfo

Fedor vs Mir is still a significant fight of HWs from the same generation.

Seems like they gave him the easiest path to the finals doesn't it? IMO Mitrione and Bader are the favorites, but Fedor is def on the easier side of the bracket.

Is what i was thinking
As start having Mitrione and Roy on other side eliminating each other in first turn is already something, and the winner of them taking on -likely- Bader remove another bad dog

On one side Fedor is the absolute pale reflex of what once was and i'm ready to see him lose like i am in every fight he did since the BF fight (yes even Maldonado)

On other hand if you watch it
-Mir is the type of fighter that can crumble under aggression, his (Mir's) best chances are imho place a good punch (a cross?) standing or by sub if Fedor blind go on the ground with him him (wich will not surprise me lol)
But tbh if Fedor find a decent opening and can shot some punches is doable, like some standing and some striking Mir on the ground without fall into a grappling thing

-Sonnen/Page winner does'nt seem impossible in either cases

-If reach final he will likely be the underdog but it's a fight and anything can happen, specially considering that none of them feel like an unbeatable monster.
Personally i think Mitrione is the fav to take the whole thing (agree with odds)* and even in that case last time they put each other on theyr ass with a single punch, Matt won it with way faste/better recovery from that clash... not saying i like Fedor chances in a rematch, but what i seen did'nt make me think is "impossible" for him

I will not have liked it at 3-1, but 5-1 with that path seem decent

*i think Matt have a very tough one vs Roy, dude can absorb bombs and got an hammer

As Fedor fan him reaching the first 5 sec of the final will be a great result considering his current state

solid analysis, the tournament is definitely wide open, but having Bader/Mitrione/Nelson on one side of the bracket seems *interesting* to me. Nelson could be the sleeper pick, but he is gonna have to rack up some quality wins to do it. Fedor has a chance, but I wouldn't put money on him (i'm also not a gambler)
Either way i'm looking forward to this!

Mir, chael, and rampafe
gotta get through the tough half of the bracket first, but he is a solid sleeper pick (no pun intended - since if he wins he's gonna have to put some fools to sleep lol)

Roy beats mittrione easily. I honestly think he matches up fairly well with everyone. If he comes in motivated he can definitely win.

hell yea, that would be awesome. It's an old timers tourney anyways and roy has aged well. I'd love to see him pull it off!

Fedor getting dogged. I might take that action.

Mir with the easiest path? Weak ass swipe

Rampage will beat chael, fedor will beat Mir if he comes Into this prepared which I have a feeling he will.

Rampage vs fedor, i think even at this point fedor will be faster than rampage.

Roy beats mittrione easily, and it' a toss up who wins no with mo vs bader...It's hard to say. But Roy can beat either of them,

It' going to come down to Roy vs fedor...either Roy sleeps fedor, unless fedor has a very good game plan. If he just tries to head hunt Roy, Roy will end up knocking fedor out sadly,
