UFC should partner up with a supplement company and have UFC fighters only take supplements provided by this company.

Fighters will have a catalog of supplements from this company and every month they can choose any supplements provided.

If it's not on the catalog, they can request for it and USADA will have to inspect it before giving it to the fighter.

This way, there will never be the "tainted supplement" excuse

If you pop, that's a 4 year ban. Pop twice? 8 years, which is essentially a career ender

This levels out the playing field and have fighters forced to be clean unless they want to risk it

Agreed. And they should all wear the same fight gear as well.

Wait ..

Introducing: Reebok Vitamins and Supplements

Fighters don't take supplements

They take the real shit

Quality supplements are expensive as fuck, I don't see too many UFC fighters refusing quality supplements for free

They should be forced to eat only UFC approved food too.

They already provide a list of safe supplements.

What if they pop anyway and blame the supps?

It would be better if they allowed certain PEDs to aid in recovery and longevity. Protein powder and multi vitamins are not enough for elite level pros.

Oh for sure, I'm just being a cheeky fuck. I agree with you, what you proposed would work.

Will it ever happen though? Not a chance. Professional athletes will always look for the advantage be it legal or illegal, and the money and sponsorship involved it far too large for many fighters to give up.

Also, they can still use the tainted kangaroo meat excuse.

Gee, I like the uniforms, they are so high school for me, from 30+ years ago....

I don't know man, Giblert Melendez and Anderson Aldo? I wouldn't be surprised if Reebok supplements end up with bat guano in them.

Change up the way the way fighters are paid.

Make them employees that get paid to train and piss clean, pass there code of conduct, and show up on weight.

Do away with win bonuses.

increase or include a finishing bonus instead.

Guys who piss dirty or come in over-weight wont get paid, possibly lose there jobs, full medical insurance, etc.

Wow... Seriously?

A company that makes vitamins, psoriasis medicine, foot cream, lip-cream, massage oils, sports drinks, kidney medicine, diuretics for altitude sickness, Viagra, antibiotics, And have their own cangaroo farm?

The only problem I have with the "let them dope" argument is that MMA is a damn dangerous sport as it is, doping only makes it more dangerous.

If the supplement company doesn't make it, fighters would put in a special request. Just like in the Ultimate Fighter House, they can order what ever they want to eat, just as long as the make the request.

Just put in a request, USADA would inspect the product and then give it to the fighter

Say that a company like MuslePharm partners with the UFC, this could be GREAT for their marketing. Imagine taglines with "fighters powered by MusclePharm"

Just like what Gatorade did with Jordan, kids drank gatorade because they felt like it would make them play like MJ. With this, Kids would want to buy MusclePharm because they want to look like a specific fighter. They'll think, "Oh! X fighter takes these supplements after workout and is shredded, I'm gonna take them too"
