I haven't watched the movie but it looks very drab. I remember a couple years ago I asked my nephews if they liked Star Wars and they only watched the prequels and they liked them.

One of the things Lucas managed not to fuck up were the sumptuous colors of the Prequels, especially in CLONES. Robust reds and earthy tans. SOLO's palette is dark in the beginning, cool and neutral in the middle, bright and neutral at the end.

The action is fun and easily digestible, although the dialogue gets a little confusing because it's all trialogues and left turns, something that I quite enjoy but can get tiresome if you just want the pew pew.

Relationships between characters are fun and also clear.

    Good spectacle. Great Chewie.

Is there more to this story? Seems like you want to say more.

I am disappointed that this movie didn't reach its potential. They got surprisingly good casting(Han and Lando were as good as they could realistically be), pivotal moments for Star Wars universe (start of the rebellion) and wasted it with stupid pacing, shitty background characters (Nest and Vos were very underwhelmingly written) and SJWisms.
To sum it up, I forgot about this movie about half-hour after leaving the theater, it's unremarkable.

Its too bad because this movie was actually fun and it was exactly what it was intended to be, yet those two abominations actually did good in box office.

Yeah, we got another 2 weeks domestically till Jurrassic World hits so it ain't over yet.

312 leaves us with another 188 mill in 2 weeks to make my 500 mill prediction. I gave them another 5 bucks today for my 3rd viewing... so fook all of y'all... lol... :D

I know that it's pretty unlikely with Jurassic already released over seas... but hey... my thought was that the people who have seen it & are talking positively about it would allow it to bounce back.... & that would create a nice spike... it ain't over till it's over... even if it's a slow burn to the end.

Gave it a second viewing good flick if you want to kill some time.
Rank it below Rogue One but above TFA and TLJ.

I liked the beginning of Han- Chewie friendship. I would have liked more moments like these, focusing on characters. If they decided to go with Enfys as the mother of Rebel Alliance, they should have added more screen toime for her, showing something interesting about how she turned from a mercenary to a hero, also she should have convinced Han and crew she was with good guys, that part was pathetically weak in the movie:
    - give us 60 000 000 worth of fuel, we're the good guys and I have freckles.
    - ok.

LOL I think I may have mentioned it upthread, but I loved Enfys because of the APPLESEED inspired costume design. Once she took off the mask I was like, "Oh, you've been a wee person this entire time!" Like this little girl kicked the ass of the mercenary cowboy who taught Han Solo the ropes to space survival?!

I agree the Crimson Dawn was gifted more menace than was depicted. I'd assume they were a known quantity in the books or the shows or something --

-- but I think someone mentioned they'd first been brought up in SOLO.

I am even ok with little girls beating up space cowboys, if the scenario explains why is this little girl so badass. In Solo they didn't even try to.
