So who's the top stylistic bad match-up for Khabib at LW?

Huge Khabib fan but a "bad match-up" is a real thing (expect for deluded Conor fans). I must admit that Tony is still No.1
    1. He has the endurance, recovery and heart to probably withstand Khabib's ground and pound.
    2. I think that out of everyone he will be the one that will take less damage from the bottom, he will take some but a lot less than any other LW fighter.
    3. Unfortunately I believe that that Khabib will probably gas before Tony does. 4. I don't believe that Khabib can submit Tony and vice-versa.
    5. Now regarding the standup, I disagree with many of you. I think that Khabib can be comfortable standing with Tony, not for to long but enough time to pace himself and achieve his takedowns.

I see this fighting going to decision for sure. Whoever looks more active will win, my real worry is that Tony is a cardio machine and he might be able to steal the last 4th and 5th. If Khabib pace himself, improve cardio a little, he might be able to take 1 thru 3 with take-downs and looking active on top. I think that Khabib is a smarter fighter as well so I believe he will win but with a perfect strategy.

No. 2 would be Kevin Lee, he is a very good wrestler with good standup. This fight would be a war for sure and would be a matter of who is more durable. I believe that Khabib is way more durable than Lee.

    Woodley and maybe Aldo?

I don't think Tony or Lee will beat Khabib. Both are close fights though

I think Khabib actually handles Tony pretty easily

Easy to take down and Tony has been neutralised by far inferior grapplers to Khabib on the ground

I'd like to say Lee because of his superb grappling but his chin issues don't inspire much confidence. Khabib could easily catch Lee with a right hand and knock him clean out

I think Khabib reigns for a long time unless he leaves the UFC

I think Tony beats him. Kevin Lee seems like a tough match up as well.

And for some reason I think Gaethje would make the best fight of it. (I know I'm retarded)

I used to think it was Kevin Lee, but I think his cardio is too shitty. So Ferguson.

Nah. Khabib by being a better wrestler and overall grappler. What would Alvarez do?

Out of non-obvious contenders i'd say Masvidal. He doesn't really get grapplefucked and typically loses to more athletic strikers.

Better TDD than other top LW's.

    Obviously favor Khabib though.

I don't think Khabib stays in the lightweight division long enough to find out...

I'd say GSP has the best chance... Tony is probably next... and then a distant distant third Lee if he comes correct...

That being said, I still think Khabib beats Tony & Kevin. GSP would give Khabib his hardest fight at lightweight. Could go either way but I'd give the edge to GSP.

Also, wildcard Al Iaquinta with a proper training camp can possibly give Khabib a tough fight but I don't think he beats Khabib either.

GSP would dominate Khabib at 170. I have no doubt about it.

I disagree with Tony being a bad matchup because he doesn't have great TDD and although he has some slick JJ I dont think it's enough to beat Khabib. Remember staph-ridden Kevin Lee had Tony mounted and was dominating until he gassed out. I see Khabib doing the same but not gassing out.

Also disagree with Gillespie -- grappling may be a wash but Gillespie has worse standup.

    My 2 picks (in order):

    -Gaethje
    -Hernandez

Both physically strong guys with good TDD, (imo) better standup, and maybe more importantly, wouldnt be shook to death of Khabib's TD threat.

Edit: Lee would also be a great challenge but he may be too chinny.
