...why don't more fighters take advantage of this? Might as well take your once per fight freebie and get the upper hand. I would.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Not only do refs not crack down on deliberate fouls, but also commissions often won't overturn decisions that came as a direct result of blatant fouls.

How do you know the fouls aren't intentional?

Been plenty of times I think someone is tired and they've just gone for a kick in the balls and got a few minutes rest

Need to start throwing out a warning and then if it continues you deduct a point. I just grow tired of watching the ref warn 100 times during a fight and then they do nothing as it continues to happen.

Also worth mentioning: They should use VAR when making these calls and also penalize fighters for simulation.

Integrity and respect. Most fighters actually have it.

Most fighters aren't pieces of shit and don't do it intentionally.

Maybe TS would have won against that 115lb girl that tapped him.

It's not always like that. Groovy got a point deducted for a knee to the shoulder of a downed opponent that the ref thought was a knee to the head.

Not only did that stoppage stop Groovy from finishing him... it stopped the judges from awarding what was obviously a 10-8 round because they were mis-informed by the ref. The point deduction took away Groovy's W... & now all the posers who are only concerned with records endlessly quote that Groovy didn't win.

& in the end... the knee was no where near the head! WTF?

I would start all my fights with a swift kick to the berries, that’s how a true man fights.

It's more money and you're putting yourself at a disadvantage if you don't. It's like pre-USADA guys not juicing, why tf not?

besides sportsmanship, maybe there's also a balance of terror of sorts

you don't do it because you don't want to get gouged or your own nads smashed in retaliation
