Smilin' Sam not smiling as he misses weight & loses 20% of disclosed purse.

All this talk of “backroom bonuses” makes me blush and giggle. Anyone else?

Does anyone know who deducts the 20%, the UFC or Athletic Dept? Either way I think the UFC should help him out and cover the deduction. He is doing them a favor and show that they reward short notice fighters(Even if history has shown otherwise).

Here is Sam's response...

I don't recognize 90% of the names on this card. Strong wtf.

  • Anthony Hamilton (256) vs. Adam Wieczorek (233)
wtf! I thought Hamilton retired after losing on Sep 16th yet he's back a month later?

wouldn't be surprised if he gets stopped again

It goes to the opponent if they agree to still fight
It's in bout agreements.
I'm sure UFC will cover it
He is a warrior for them

I know it goes to the opponent. I meant who enforces it?

Like I said it is in the bout agreements, so both UFC & the AC does.
If it is in an area where AC does not regulate like CSAC, NYAC, NAC, etc., then UFC does
But it is agreed to in advance by all parties

Awful performance against an equally awful Rashad, seems more interested in promoting his gimmick than putting on exciting fights and all around a failed funnyman. Not a fan.

Isn't he taking this fight on short notice? I'm sure he'll be compensated somewhat backstage for stepping in as a late replacement against a total unknown, particularly given that he's coming off a win - albeit a shitty one - over a major name and future HOFer.

Makes sense, thanks. I always that it was the AC.
