She just said to Luke Thomas that she didn't know that she was going to fight Schevchenko then a few days later she didn't know that she wasn't fighting Shevchenko. Her manager found out on social media that the fight was cancelled. They had to personally call Dana to know for sure.

She says when she spoke with Dana and yelled at him. She said Dana was laughing and thought it was great then Dana did "right by her" by giving her the fight with Modaferri.

Man, these fighters need to get it together.

Would consider missing weight if I was her.

Say what you want and of course I also lol'ed at the whole fiasco and liked the JJ vs Valentina back, but to have someone (anyone, especially fighting for the title) not be personally informed prior that the fight is off, before any kind of news like that hits the media is just absolute bush leagues. ANd it's not the first time it happens. It blows my mind how much unprofessional UFC is sometimes for such a big and well known company.

I heard a couple of mma media people and fans saying that Eubanks deserved it for taking the fight from JJ. This is horseshit.

Firstly, she wouldn't know why JJ isn't fighting Shevchenko. JJ likely wouldn't tell her if she asked and the UFC would say to mind her own business.

Second, even if she knew the UFC just cancelled the JJ fight just to have a main for 230, how would Eubanks be the one taking the fight from JJ?

To be fair no one wanted to see that fight anyways...This fight is best for the division

JJ fighting at a weight she has never fought at is best for the division? JJ wants another shot at the 125 belt. She has said this. What if she wins then she wants to face the winner of Namajunas vs whomever?

damn she has that young ma voice...

I think for it to not be joke division you need a legit champion whose been tested. Both JJ and Valentina would represent the division well IMO. Valentina beating Eubanks wouldn't mean anything to anyone. When you have new divisions like this it almost has to happen where other fighters with a name move up/down to fight. Same reason why Cyborg needed other fighters smaller t fight although that was way more of a shit show.

This apparently happens all the time in UFC. Fights are announced with neither of the parties knowing about it and fights are cancelled the same way. So bush-league. <45>

Joanna has been competing in Martial arts for 15 years. 11 of those years were at 125 lbs. She only started to have her horrific cuts down to 115 when she signed with the UFC.

The worst part of this title fight is , if she wins the will likely use that as leverage to fight for the SW title. Then she will likely stay at 115 where she has a size advantage.
