Should Harvard acknowledge that Senator Warren is not a "woman of color."

My GF is Native American. The ONLY way she was able to become a citizen of the Cherokee nation is PROVE that she has relatives on one of the old roles such as the DAWES rolls. DNA means NOTHING... Although the DNA test she took showed that the percentage of NA in her was equal to her blood quantum, but as far as the Cherokee Nation? DNA doesn't mean shit.

I think she could have handled it better but I do see where she is coming from. She was probably told all of her life and probably by her grandparents before that there was Native American blood in the family line. Pretty much all of Boston thinks they are Irish even though some of them are 100s of years removed from that ancestry.

I do have a problem if she claimed Native American on an application to get grant money or special privilege. If that's proven, I think she should have to pay back the money. If she didn't do that and it's more along the lines of her just claiming Native American ancestry, I have no problem with it. A lot of people tend to do that when they find interesting ancestral history.

Her DNA test didn't actually show anything other than DNA similar to folks in Latin America/Peru . . . they didn't compare it to Indian DNA because they couldn't.

The actual story here is that any rational person with a brain can see that Warren is white. Harvard still called her a minority professor. That means that either people were too stupid to see that she's white or that people were too scared to say she's white. Too scared of being punished by the leftist mob for saying the obvious truth, so they just went along with it. That's not Warren's fault. She just told the truth, that she thinks she's some small % native. That's their fault for being stupid. The left is a combination of stupid and scary right now. I disagree. Warren has claimed NA heritage for some time. She is listed as being NA in several places. She is even acknowledged as being the first tenured NA. She even claimed it's the reason her parents eloped.

It is unreasonable to suggest Warren had nothing to do with this. She represented herself incorrectly her entire life when the identity in question confers privileges.

This does not vindicate her. This is not about right wingers. She's a white woman who incorrectly appropriated a culture not her own.
