He technically didn't lose.
Fight is a No Contest.
Yes, for sure. Fight will be NC so it didn't happen, he is still the champ.
And they should let him baseball bat Jones in the head one time before the next PPV, just to make things even between them in the concussion deparment.
No, they both lost the belt.
Nope. He should fight for the vacant belt, it will look better when he wind it again. He beats everybody else at LHW.
Technically he should, but I voted no. He lost twice and looked horrible in his last loss against JBJ (eventhough technically no contest now). People have meme'd that crying image of him post fight. Who wants that to be the champion of the LHW division? Should be #1 contender for the fight against someone else I'd say.
Yes, and he will get his belt back automatically because the result will not stand.
Cormier is the best LHW left anyway, its his belt.
Yes. And he does automatically. But he needs a quality win quickly.
' DC should have his belt back but then refuse it and fight for a vacant spot right away. He will win and become the Champ yet again as he was just before the fight with a cheat and the crummy looser on PEDs. Easy! '
' I totally agree! '
Of course. Jones disqualified himself when he decided he couldn't win a fair fight. It's literally worse than a loss. He wasn't even willing to try. DC is the rightful champion.
' Oh my! Many of us think the same! DC never lost, as the loss was to the cheat and an indecent human being. Shame on JJ! Do not return please, as nobody wants to see you fail again while taking other peoples lives down with you, douche! '
How is this even a question?
They could easily vacate the belt. You never know.
Think the smart move for DC woukd be to decline the belt and then fight for it to prove he his the best current light heavy weight on the planet.
Feel so bad for DC, he's probably the most competitive fighter on the roster and to be beaten twice and ridiculed by a cheat and his corny fans must really sting.
What are you talking about??
1. He was champion and the result will be a no contest due to Jon Jones cheating so he obviously retains his belt.
2. He didn't look horrible at all and was arguably winning the fight on the scorecards until Jones caught him with that head kick.
On top of that he is clearly the best clean fighter in the division and an honourable man and champion. The organisation should be promoting such fighters over complete scum like Jones.
