I wouldnt buy an ex mining gpu.. 100% thrashed ..
Just had a look on gum tree.. Loads of 1080ti for 800 quid! Fucking retail price is 629.. Fuck these scum bags, they are shitting it and trying to flog off..
They're definitely not down at retail for for the market, but I see downward movement on a few: the GTX 1060 3GB principally:
GTX 1050 = $165
GTX 1050 Ti = $220+
GTX 1060 3GB = $260+
GTX 1060 6GB = $320+
GTX 1070 = $550+
GTX 1070 Ti = $570+
GTX 1080 = $620+
GTX 1080 Ti = $900+
RX 580 = $285+
Vega 56 = $680+
Vega 64= $900+
I just look over Craigslist Sacramento and I'm also not seeing all these cheap GPUs unless I'm supposed to be excited about $250 used GTX 1060s and RX 580s.
Most prices near me are similar to you, but I am seeing some dropping prices: one 1060 6gb dropped from 385 to 225, some 1070s are down to 400-475, one 1070ti for 450 (parceled out from a gaming PC), another for 500, and a 1080ti for 750$. But people are still trying to sell above that.
I am seeing some people who appear to be liquidating mining rigs, but most of them are still trying to sell at the inflated prices.
I'd buy a GPU that was used for mining. I had a 20 GPU rig back in the day and when the market crashed I sold most of it off, but kept 8 GPUs for gaming rigs around the house (SLI/Xfire for some of them). Worst problem I had was a fan dieing (easy fix).
Seeing that a little over a week ago used 1060 6GB and RX 580's were closer to 400, yes this is exciting.
Evga has B stock 780ti’s for $180. They’ve been there for s couple of days, I’m surprised they didn’t get snatched up. They still hold their own vs a 1060 3gb
Does the game start at the screen where you have your taskbar
or can you adjust that in settings ?
There's different settings for the taskbar
Here's what my screens usually look like.
Anyone know if there is a major quality difference between hooking up a 4K PC
to a 50 or 100hz television by HDMI ? I mean the TV is already 4K as well.
Think the 100hz is much better than the 50 ?
I heard it is even bad for high fps gaming to use 100hz.
Thanks man, very helpful info. I think I'll upgrade the whole thing but the current RAM prices are crazy.
Select European retailers have begun to take pre-orders on G-Sync HDR-supporting monitors from Acer and ASUS that are expected to hit the market as early as late this month. Pricing of the Acer Predator X27 and the ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ displays appears to be between €2500 and €3000 with VAT, which looks expensive even when European prices and VAT are taken into account.
I'm planning on getting the ASUS model, but that price is gonna sting, I'll probably sell some old stuff too lol
That's crazy I paid half that for a brand new 1060 6GB last year...
My guess is that a major AMD cryptomine (or maybe several) decided to close up shop and resale all of their gear.
Because RX 580''s have already shot back up to ~$345, and so have the Vega. The NVIDIA cards are steady. I think that $400 GTX 1060 6GB mark @m52nickerson mentioned was a very briefly held price point. I know I'd looked at them several times in the past month and had not seen that price. Still a lot of volatility, and that's precisely what does indicate the cryptocraze is still in full swing because that's the market it is reflecting.
I've been seeing a lot more AMD "sales" lately. You're going to still pay more than MSRP, but you can at least buy them now.
newegg has Gigabyte 1080 for $550 atm.
How do you guys like this case ?
Looks like it belongs in my trunk.
I'm seeing $580, but that's definitely one of the best prices I've seen in a few months on a retail card. Still, the new NewEgg...yuck.
I hate it, but I also prefer minimalist, boring designs.
There was a coupon code in their email newsletter to drop it down to 550.
Newegg is such a sad tale, same with TigerDirect.
Do you guys think $450 is a fair price for this setup?
