I don't have big problem with anything you said here. BUT, you haven't disputed those 4 words you quoted. I agree to give all benefits to teams that qualify to Major qualifier, there is no need to cal it a Major. It devalues THE 2 biggest tournaments of the year, with freeloader crap teams. I have no problem with this kind of system in other tournaments. Even if it is in ALL tournaments beside Major. So, new ESL format with only 8 out of 16 teams being invited and Asia getting one team, and Australia another is fine by me. I didn't even have a problem with Legends and Challenger system, or with roster locks during a Major qualifier. Other nonMajor tournaments can suck it and remove locks, and go with majority player rule. My whole point is, Major should be held to higher standard, and hardest to qualify for. You should look at Dota Pro Circuit, it has a great system from competitive standpoint, and I like it as a fan too. Every region gets at least 1 team qualified to their Majors and Minors which are part of DPC. So top 8 teams in Circuit are qualified for The International 2018(which is equivalent to Major in CS:GO). What I would like is to have all 6 regions having joint TI qualifier like CS:GO has now, and not fixed number of teams per region qualifying for TI, but I doubt that is gonna happen. I guess they have to give at least one guaranteed place per region, and only SA is not deserving. Back to CSGO Major. Fuck 3.5 months between beginning of qualifiers and end of Major, and still US immigration fucks up visas for at least 2 players in qualifier. If it HAS TO BE 1 Major a year in NA, move that shit from US to Canada, until US immigration doesn't get it's shit together. You can let millions of illegals in, but not dozens of pro esport players. SMH. Shorten the time from beginning of qualifiers to end of Major to 2 months max. It will help with roster locks too.
