WOW, what a game between Faze and Gambit.
Last map went to double OT and had Guardian and mou stylin with AWPs.
Honestly I thought Gambit had this going to Cache as it was one of their strong 3 maps and not one of Fazes'.
Avoided Mirage(probably Fazes' 2nd best map), and got Train and Cache.
Faze was sometimes too stretched out, or had wrong midgame calls, but otherwise are strong on every buy.
Gambit had that LAN qualifier for WCA IIRC. Dosia was IGL first time there and really bad fragging wise. But much better this time around. And strats are getting slightly better.
Funny thing on that LAN was they lost 2-1 to Mousesports, but since they qualified they used it to play their 3 worst maps for practice.
Fitch is still questionable, he didn't have clear roles in 3 of 6 halves, and made too many mistakes in last map.

Even though Faze won, this brings end to their 17 map win streak on tier 1 LANs.
It started with Nuke loss to Gambit, and ended with Train here.

And, fuck yeah with the all the way BO3.

    What about what now?
By the way only douchebags use the awp. You got to break that scout out.

I'm talking about tournament in Russia with half a mil on line, where two opposing players traded great AWP plays on deciding map.
And I'm a douchebag who played scoutknives today.

    Only caught the last map.

Of 2017 ive been saying since mid-Spring that Mou was the best AWP'r in the world. Its strange though at how fast Guardian has returned to form. All things considering this is looking to be one hell of a lan!

Had to work today so i only got to watch the 2nd and 3rd map between SK/Faze from vods. I heavily doubted Boltzs ability, he's making me a believer.

Decided to do some FFA Rifle DM and was hitting some disgusting shots consistently. Queued up for ESEA MM and took over the server: https://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=11636890

Earlier i got my ELeague Valve Major ticket for Boston with my Hotel and transportation booked : )

JW has looked better individually this year. No where close to his peak form in 2014. Though he does have instances of showing that in a few rounds within a match.

FNatic as a team are slowly dying. Olof left to go replace Kioshima on Faze and Dennis went back to Godsent, again. They are currently ranked 12th in the world. An the future doesnt look good for the team.

I don't have time to post, or watch games.
I'll try to later watch vods, especially Faze-VP, since they mention on reddit it was as good as Faze-Gambit, which was tremendous.

So, I'll just post what's on my mind, and miss a bunch of things.

I don't think mou is best AWPer, don't have time to go in much of detail. He has a lot of impact frags with it, and is used mostly as trade fragger on T side, which he is probably best at. Like for example, oskar is best postplant as T AWPer.

Valve finally decides next major with proper time to prepare for August 2018, to bad it isn't May. But hey, it should clear a lot of stuff with cheating, format, visas, etc.

A lot of teams lost BO3 with favorable maps, which is strange.

Fnatic is worst it has ever been. Didn't won anything since March 2016. And since that have only one 2nd place at OK level tier 2 LAN with only 8 teams.

JW was best on team pre Golden(new IGL) era(like last 2 months), they are doing great online, but still suck heavy on LAN. Since the playstyle is more execution based and slower, JW reverted to worst player on team currently.

I am tired, won't fix stupid sentence structures.

VP started with this very Leben like brawling style where everybody is everywhere.
I don't have a strength for this. 5 hours in and 1 whole more map to go, we could really do with less BO5s. It just goes forever.
It is fun, but at same time tiring.
I have SK on Cobble. VP haven't been good there for a long time.

We had 1 surprising team qualifying for Major qualifier.
In Asian minor, Renegades and Tyloo made it as expected.
But in CIS minor Team Spirit didn't. They lost to Quantum Bellator Fire.
Watched some games, and boombla was doing everything for them except AWPing.
Really surprised by both him and team, who weren't that good online.
They had best teamplay from what I saw. One example is on T side train getting one player on top ladder of popdog, getting other player up on top of him.
And then bottom player drops down.
    Not that great tactics overall.
    Avangar qualified as expected.
These 2 teams will get 1 win at best, but still there are upsets in CIS Minor which shows progress.

That grand final was tense! Was on par with the ELeague Major final.
(Still dislike BO5's for they are sooooo long).

Whats even more shocking is that it nearly broke 600K viewers. That never happens in a non-Valve Major lan.

So the next Major is in Boston in January yes?

Looks like I'm going to try and get back into watching again and definitely watch all of the Major.

Misfits showed up on LAN. That is all that matters.
So, with that 2 favorites that made Major qualifier are Liquid and Envyus. Optic and CLG failed.
Space Soldiers and Misfits surprised by making it through.
So, out of 4 regions, only in Asia 2 main favorites made it.Again.
It is not only worst, but even the least competitive region. Hopefully things change for better in next year.

I've been looking at Qualifier, and have come to conclusion SS has about 50/50 chance of making Major. It's not really that stacked.

Well, it had about 100k viewers on 3 different streams(Polish, Russian and Brazilian) and almost 300k on English stream.
I've noticed stream numbers depend more on teams than on importance of match.
Which would explain 400k dip in peak viewers between last 2 Major finals.

Problem is the lack of median performance by these tier 2, 3 and 4 teams. Its a fucking pendulum half the time when i see these teams play in terms of ability.

Few rounds i saw of Space Soldiers impressed me. Individually all of them looked phenomenal!

I slightly disagree. Teams that are playing, popularity of them does dictate the initial viewers. Entertainment value of the game/series dictates the total viewers.
