Surprised theirs nothing sticky on here.

TBS is showing Luminosity (Brazil powerhouse, best team in the world right now) vs Cloud9 (supposed top NA team, but NA goes back and forth).

Should be a lot of fun.

The production has been awesome on Twitch, HOWEVER! You will only see Analysts Desk and interviews on TBS (potentially a VOD later), otherwise Twitch is just streaming the rounds w/ casters themselves (some licensing stuff going on).

Also, I don't have TBS. My comcast subscription sucks (would jump me up +$60, which is why I don't have FS1 for MMA either).

    However,

SlingTv (former Sling Box from 2013) has a licensing deal to legally stream TBS.

I signed up for a 7 day free trial, which, maybe I'll keep (probably not).

I am unsure on its global region applicability.

    Nope :D

Semmler, Anders, Richard ... whatever (not Thorin) on the main desk, with Moe of all people, and Moses.

LG played loose enough on the first two maps to make it an entertaining best of three. Cloud9 did finally show improvement though. Which was quite surprising overall.

Overnight ratings wasnt good : (

Yes, it aired last night on TBS.

    https://www.turner.com/story/eleague’s-opening-week-drives-audience-engagement-across-all-platforms

"ELEAGUE Delivers in Prime Time on TBS
ELEAGUE averaged 509,000 total viewers on TBS during its Friday primetime telecast window (10-11 p.m. ET) and was the second most-discussed program of the night on Twitter."

Not bad, heard the average across the entire broadcast was 200K here in the states alone.

My friend is the founder of FLIPSID3 Tactics. They're a new team, but I guess they've managed to get some really good players. Their main game is CS:GO I believe.

As for the show, I thought the production level was great, but I didn't find CS:GO to be very fan friendly. I think the TTK is a little too quick, and there's more excitement to be gained from longer gun battles.

At first, I thought those were horrible ratings.

But then I reminded myself it was on a Friday night, well after primetime, and on cable.

Not bad ratings. Not great, but for their first show, not bad.

I hope the ratings grow the more they do this, as the word gets out.

You can watch their Twitch VOD via Youtube or Twitch:

On their Friday night broadcast only the game observers perspective and play by play casters is played on Twitch. Replays, analyst desk and file footage is only shown on the TV broadcast.

I'm not too interested in the actual content of the show, but I want to see how the show is made to appeal to casual viewers since TBS is a big TV network.

Hmm, ELeague created some educational type videos of the game with Anders&Semmlers explaining some thing in further detail that they wouldnt during their play by play.

Overall id say they arent overtly trying to appeal to newcomers or casuals. Its more of a test bed to see if the Twitch success of CSGO tournaments/leagues can also be profitable on TV.

Yea, it would have been a much worse viewing experience if they cruched C9 like the first round, or, pretty much ANY round (such as the third).

Cloud9 being on point looked Very good, but it required them all firing. Beating duels against LG looked goddamn impossible the whole week. It looked like LG was a smurf T1 EU team in a T3 pug against most of the other matches.

Hopefully the ratings improve, though I'm curious about the demographics of sports fans vs gamer fans. Definitely, game watchers are getting older, which is probably part of the spike. Us 30's+ actually have $ now, etc. and its a huge marketable market (kind of how the UFC's demo is highly desired in marketing channels). But, I never even liked watching competitive CS until I started playing it last year.

    Still fun shit.

Anders and Semmler did pretty well just quickly explaining terms, or phrases, but continuing their "standard" form of calling.

The NiP vs G2 game on Friday apparently pulled in better viewer numbers than the previous week Cloud9 vs LG game. Which is quite surprising.

Almost as surprising at how badly NiP bodied (ehhh, lol) G2.
