Hey dudes, I was wondering if any of you are interested in books

Apparently only 3% of Americans own a library card. Is that the top 3% of Americans? Possibly.

Have you read any good books recently?

Do you have any good recommendations?

Would you be interested in starting a book club?

Holla at your boy!

lol @ library card.

I assume you know the internet exists.

With that said I like anything from Carl Hiaasen.

Currently reading J. Prince's autobiography.

Bad motherfucker.

Who needs a library card? Children and poor ppl imo. And those odd few people that don’t feel the need to collect the books they read.

Anyways, I picked up Katerina by James Frey yesterday. Not sure how it’ll be. But I was in a mood to read and the other options available at the store were just . . . Not my thing at all lol.

I’m still reading Beatrice Wood’s autobiography as well.

Been catching up on a bunch of fantasy lately.

Read:
Red Rising series enjoyed the first two but felt the third was a bit predictable. Still would recommend though.
King Killer Chronicles, highly recommended, looking forward to the third book when it comes out.

Just started the Farseer trilogy, it's good so far, onto chapter 14 of 24 at the minute.

Libraries are a great resource imo. Due to government cuts my local one is now tiny so I don't really use it anymore.

I've just finished "I, Claudius" by Robert Graves, which was awesome. Just started "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco.

I'm currently reading a tai chi book but next on my list is 'the naked lunch'. The movie was pretty fucked up so interested to read the book.

My pace is too erratic for a book club but i do like reading. I mainly read thrillers or my favorite genre fantasy. So much fantasy is corny as hell though so you gotta wade through the crap to get the good stuff.

Currently reading: Fall on your knees

Last two books read: The Bell Jar, Call of the Wild

Would recommend all.

I have a mini library in my office at home. I’ve read every book on my shelves -some of them twice. Lately tho, I’ve been slow on the reading but I’ve been meaning to get back to it. Still haven’t finished reading ‘No Country For Old Men’, I’m about halfway thru and it’s just sitting on my night stand next to my bed.

Last book I read was ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ which was pretty good. I usually read ‘Catcher in the Rye’ once a year starting around Thanksgiving/Christmas but haven done that in some years. Thinking about giving that tradition another start up again but I have to finish No Country 1st.

In my prime reading years I’d read about 7-10 books a year. Not insane for avid readers I guess, but still a lot more than the average person I’d say. There were some years I’d read a lot more than that tho.

I’ve just started reading 12 rules for life by Jordan Petersen, seems very good.

And finished Shoe Dog by Phil Knight (founder of Nike) last week. A very good book!

Big fan of Haruki Murakami. Can recommend.

I gots Norwegian Wood somewhere. Gotta get round to it sometime

For now I'm finally about to get around to Don Quixote
