Shape shifting bacteria found in the ISS

So was the movie Life based on this. Or is this life imitating art?

well, the world had to end somehow, at least we will take this knowledge to our graves

I wonder the Aliens that observe us see us as shape shifters, because they have infinitely long life spans and a life time to us is a blink of an eye to them.

Shape shifting... could mean

Click bait bullshit.

They cultured E. coli on the space station to see how bacteria would adapt to a microgravity environment. These are bacteria taken to the ISS from Earth with the specific purpose of "to understand bacterial behavior in space in preparation for future long-term human space exploration missions". This is not a new concept. We've been performing these types of experiments since 1985.

Here's the actual article if you want to read it:

This is not space bacteria. This is not some newly discovered life form that is gonna invade earth. They didn't just randomly find this shit on the ISS.

Fucking journalists and journalism these days. Useless attention whore shitbags the lot of them.

We should be studying this on earth since ISS might have limited capabilities. What a great find. Thoughts? Potential pros n cons?
they didnt find shape shifting bacteria space.

They brought e coli from earth to the ISS. It shape-shifts because of the change in environment.

we already study e coli on earth.

furthermore, the cells don't really 'shape shift' i.e. they take one form, and suddenly switch to another. the study simply showed that the same bacteria took a different shape in space than it did on earth.

dont read public media articles about science that dont even cite the actual source.

Well at least a few of you have actually read the article and not just the headline.

This discovery is a good thing. It will help us further understand how bacteria works and how it tries to defend itself against antibiotics.

You wanna bring this shit back to Earth? Are you NUTS?!

Think of the possibilities.. with better equipment and reseach team.. we can really make progress on earth.. instead in the ISS..
