The craziest thing about being a Swedish athlete is you can never say "he's 1 out of a million" because Sweden only has 300 something thousand people there...and like 80,000 of those aren't real swedes

Did Gus get hurt? Why does he barely fight? Always forget about the guy.

More pity-parties for Gus... sign me up! Somebody hand me a tissue please!

Gus' turtle position that he likes to always fight from will be the style of the future!

Gus gets more hate than he deserves cause he doesnt fight often and isnt the smartest guy in promoting himself.
But nevertheless, hes the only fighter who ever came close to beat both top-dogs in lhw.
Im not saying he would win in a rematch but who else has a better chance atm?

Lol, Gus fans are hilarious. Now he wasnt 100% against DC, guess that means he should be gifted another title shot so he can almost win

He had like 8 months off in between the Rumble KO and his 2nd gifted title shot, he was fully recovered and 100%

Yea Gus does get a lot of undeserved hate. He's great and a legit threat to anyone at LHW.

I'm a bigger fan of DC and i'd obviously side with him if they fought again, but it would be close to 50/50.

The thing is, i've heard people say his best win is shogun and he doesn't deserve credit for having losses to Jones and DC. That is pure BS. Anyone who saw those fights knows that the guy is a warrior and he gave them everything they could handle. He was inches from dethroning Jones and becoming champ. He absolutely deserves credit for those fights.

Too many haters in MMA. And you know it's all guys who would pull a muscle getting off their couches.

You're mixing Sweden with Iceland, since Iceland has population of mere 300k people.

I think I confused the 2nd and 4th round. I scored it 49-46 for DC giving Gus only the round he dropped DC.

It's a shame Gus doesn't fight more than about once a year.

It should not be possible for DC to win round 4 when he did almost nothing the first two minutes (was probably still hurt from the knee) and lost significant strikers in that round by a clear margin. Gus dominated the first half of the round and the other half was close. And in round 2 the significant strikes were about even but Gus had 1-2 takedowns. So there is a clear argument for 48-47 for Gus just like the one judge saw it and had the balls to score 3 close rounds in a row for the challenger.

You can only score any of the middle rounds to DC if you give him points for walking forward. DC won the 1st and 5th clearly and thats why people think he must have clearly won the fight, even when they cant really argue in which one of the middle rounds DC was better and why.

I've heard similar stuff about him. Some guys just cannot put it together come fight night.

Does anyone know if he could perhaps make 185? I know he's a relatively big dude, but he always looks a bit soft come fight night.

Maybe HW could be an option for him. 205 is a dead scene in the UFC.
