This is a cop out because you cant show me anything to back up your claims.
And you can't show me anything prove otherwise.
Its not hard to understand, the UK audience is interested in all of Joshuas fights, including a fight against wilder. Given the choice though, its the Fury fight most Uk fans want more.
The UK media are all over Furys return, and all the interviews, media talk, is all about what Fury has to do to set up a fight with Joshua.
There is daily updates of what shape Fury is in, how his training is going. All this is not simply down to Fury returning to fight. its the start of a build up to a Fury/Joshua showdown.
Im not the one that made the claim......
You have nothing to back it. Thats all there is to it.
I am assuming you are based in the UK.
Because obviously you would not be trying to tell someone in another country what the media focus is on and what the general feeling is amongst fight fans in that country and acting like you know more than them about whats happening in their own country.
Because obviously, you know, that would make you like kind of stupid.
So, still nothing?
Well see in two months how big of a draw he is. Assuming he keeps his face out of the fast food and cocaine until then.
and you have less than nothing.
Sometimes a fighter does not have to be a draw himself, sometimes its the narrative.
lets look at an MMA scenario for a comparison. Nate Diaz is not a draw, never has been. Put him in with any other fighter and it would not be a headline fight, he would be undercard.
Now put him in with Mcgregor and shit hits the fan. because of the history and the narrative it becomes a much bigger fight.
This is the situation with Fury/Joshua in the UK.
agreed, but it would be unfair to presume that chambers and mormeck live gate was the same as fury.
Put it this way. If joshua beats wilder and povetkin, and Fury puts together a couple of wins. Fury could probably ask for, and probably get a 50/50 split.
That tells you everything you need to know.
Probably, but taking the total number in attendance as evidence of a higher gate revenue probably isn't the best thing to do, either. Wlad/Povetkin was a very big fight (especially in Eastern Europe), and it's not like Fury has/had a massive travelling fanbase.
I agree with you in saying a Fury AJ fight will be big in the UK. I don't think anyone is getting 50 50 against AJ though, ever. The guy in terms of generating money and star power is miles ahead of everyone in the HW division.
It's not even close.
Ill again point out that Im not the one that made the damn claim lol.
Its sounds like youve conceded that you have nothing to base your statements on.
Nate Diaz is/was hilariously more popular than Fury.
I did make the claim, but by saying I was wrong, then you were effectively claiming that wilder vs Joshua is the bigger fight in the UK.
A claim you have also done nothing to back up.
Complete and total hearsay.
Show me where I said Wilder was the bigger draw. You cant.
Fury isnt offering anything more than Wilder.
Prove me wrong.
i dont want you to take this the wrong way but ive posted here long enough so most people wont but just the black versus white angle is massive.
do you remember cooney/holmes?
How come Fury didnt get anywhere near 50/50 with Wlad? Hes such a big draw?
Because by beating Wlad it elevated him. He was the champ that never lost the belts in a fight and still undefeated. if Joshua is still undefeated by that point then its a great story.
I don't get why you are so upset. Its my opinion, ok its different from yours, but so what.
You are acting like an angst ridden heartbroken teenage girl and taking it far too personally.
We disagree, so what, the world still goes round, and one of us will eventually be proven wrong/right.
Getting upset and demanding I provide proof of my opinions and demands That I have to justify them to you smacks of entitlement and makes you look like an over emotional crybaby.
I mean god knows what state you get in when you order pizza and someone says they like a topping that you don't.
Oh, he gained a lot of fans with that performance....? Hes been active since then and had good numbers?
One of us is discussing the topic, the other is throwing out insults.
No, one of us gave an opinion.
The other has followed him around like a petulant child simply because he could not deal with the fact someone has an opinion thats different.
So, you can have an opinion but no one else can? Gotcha.
Or you think forums arent for discussing opinions lol.
