Tank Abbott vs Steve Nelmark. that was super scary, Nelmark looked dead and he was out for long, they couldn't wake him up. I used to have that event on old VHS and he was still out cold on the stretcher, they had a hard time waking him. I legit thought he died, and many people say he did in fact die that night and he was never even seen or heard from again by anyone. UFC no serious death or injury cover up.

    Igor vs Bueno for me

I was only 8 when this happened but i remember watching replays when I first got into MMA.

Igor is forever the most underrated fighter in MMA history. He fucks up 75% of the ppl in the UFC hall of fame...he just never fought in the UFC

For me off the top of my head that watched live was Shogun vs Te Huna and Steve Bosse vs Thiago Santos. I legit thought both guys had gotten their necks fucking snapped, especially Te Huna.

Uriah Hall headkicking that guy into permanent brain damage on TUF. If that was a live event I would have been convinced he was dying.

I was positive John Howard had killed Daniel Roberts with the way Roberts eyes rolled back and he laid motionless for what seemed like ever.

Gif doesn't really do it justice but I was there for that and he was out cold shaking stiff as a board for several minutes. They stretchered him out in a neck brace everybody thought he was permanently & seriously fucked up.

That may have been nasty but it wasn't a KO.

I don't know if it's just their recency that makes them stand out when I think about brutal knockouts, but the ones that crowd out my other recollections are Mike Perry's KO of Jake Ellenberger and Juiced Jones' of Daniel Cormier. I only vaguely remember KOs of the past, such as Gary Goodridge's of Oleg Taktarov and Siyar Bahadurzada's of Paulo Thiago.

    Re-post from a similar thread

This is the worst one I can think of:

This one is pretty brutal looking in a weird sort of way:

This one is K1, but still one of my favorites of all time

And for the series "brutal sounding KOs" there's this one by Veronica Machedo (inb4 WMMA doesn't count)

This is a brutal boxing beat down plus knockout. Guy looked like he died.
