That's a much better fight, hopefully we get this instead Saunders fighting a no hoper, and hopefully Kirklands name doesn't come up again.

I think it's a fairly good fight too. Lemieux is a worthy enough opponent to defend against as a former titleholder and he's always a threat due to his power.

    Hopefully Lemieux sparks BJS.

People hate on Lemieux because he was one of Golovkin's opponents. So, in an effort to discredit Golovkin, they'll smear Lemieux. It's hate by association.

    Also, Lemieux will destroy BJS.

Give me a break. I’ve been posting honestly about Lemieux long before the Golovkin fight - because his flaws were evident before the Golovkin fight. When that fight was announced plenty of people figured it for what it was before it happened. It’s not Golovkins fault but Lemieux isn’t a top tier fighter.

But either is BJS in my estimation so this should be fun.

That's what I'm thinking. At least Lemieux will have a realistic puncher's chance of potentially stopping BJS unlike Monroe.

Did the WBO already try to make GGG vs Saunders or did he duck Golovkin for so long they just gave up?

I love this fight, by the way, but I can't help but see it leading to Canelo with a WBO belt in a year or so from now. That'll be alright.

GGG made him look like a fool and in the process made himself look like a masterful boxer, but then I remember GGG is a silver medalist with hundreds of ammy fights but I havent seen GGG boxing that way against anybody else, maybe against Jacobs but nothing compared to how he looked against Lemiuex, he made Lemiuex look real bad and the sad part is he could have stopped him earlier via Mexican style but chose not to.

According to WBO President Francisco 'Paco' Valcarcel, the two camps have until Thursday, November 9, to reach an agreement - or his organization will order an immediate purse bid.

Golden Boy Promotions, on behalf of Lemieux, are planning to begin immediate discussions with Frank Warren, who promotes Saunders.

BJS is faster but Lemieux hits way harder. Will be interesting if it happens.

Here's hoping that BJS gets hit so hard, his misbehaved son feels it.

As bad as it is to say, Saunders could probably decision Lemieux if he doesn't get cold-cocked early. Lemieux isn't a guy who gets better as the fight wears on, and he's mediocre other than his power (and for all of Billy Joe's faults, his chin has never been much of an issue even when Lee, who can bomb, hit him with some nice shots).

BJS getting laid out by Lemieux would be awesome!

    I'll do you one better.

Here's hoping his dipshit kid hits David low at the weigh-in and catches a left hook flush.

I'm with you. I so want Lemieux to flatten BJS, but I fear the hipster-haircutted impossibly short-armed Canuck will find a way to lose this after blowing his wad swiping at air for a few rounds.

I so hope I'm wrong though, because seeing Saunders in La-La Land would make my month/year/decade.

PS: One thing to consider though is that Saunders is shite with pressure. Blackwell made him uncomfortable, Avakov (sp?) made him uncomfortable, even fuckin' Ryder made him uncomfortable—& we all know how he started getting thrown around once he'd slowed down versus Eubank. Gives me hope for the Canadian...
