As a parent it seems Tears In Heaven by Clapton for me. Once I found out what it was about I couldn't listen to it any longer.

A lot of credit needs to be given to Trent Reznor's genius level song writing. The lyrics are undeniably powerful. However, there is something about Johnny Cash's delivery that ratchets it up a notch. You can hear the defeat in the man's voice.
