I don't think Andre would need 5 minutes.

In a submission only match I think Ryron has a chance to win. I don't see Ryron getting submitted by Galvao.

  7. i'll give him six minutes, to top Uchi Mata's prediction. anyone else?

Really? I just don't see a guy who rarely competes being able to keep up with a super athletic, uber conditioned guy like Galvao for 20 minutes. Andre will put him on his back fast, and I don't think Ryron can keep him from passing his guard...I'd estimate Andre is on top for at least 15 minutes of this fight. In that length of time, starting from side control, Andre Galvao is going to finish almost anyone in the world, much less Ryron Gracie. I think you're vastly underestimating the gap in competitive ability between a guy who mostly teaches and a guy who's a world champion professional athlete.

is this confirmed or is it just a rumor? did either camp confirm it? i think it will be a great match
are we going to be able to watch it live, or do we have to wait for it to come out on you tube? surely someone will post a video or link once the fight happens

It all depends on Andre's attitude going into this match. I think the gap between those two is way too far, not to diminish Ryron skills but I think he won't have any control over the outcome of the match. Well I suppose even I could've stall against Andre for some time, but that's about it.

They'd need a good name. Something that indicated that it was the most real, unrestricted, badass way of determining who was the best fighter. And they'd need to give out a prize...make it a 'championship' if you will...

I know! They could call it 'The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down'!

Google it. It's witty, I swear.

dude, I dont think Andre needs to worry about gettin the TD, I dont think Andre has to worry about passing ryrons guard, ryron will pull mount once again... I personally think Andre should have no problem subing him, but if somehow ryron manages to pull this one out,:eek::eek::eek::eek:

If Ryron gives up mount or back quickly, he's finished. If Ryron subs Andre, then everything I think about BJJ will change.

I second this. If Ryron wins, all the GJJ purists the Gracies in particular will come out and start again how GJJ is the one and only true form of grappling.

Glover isn't really a points kind of dude. If he wins, it'll have to be submission. I am curious as to wtf Glover would do with 50/50 though.
