Syrian ancient air defences was responding in the direction of the attack, they hit the larges object in that direction. Like I said, Russian and Syrian military assets are not integrated, as such there is nothing that distincts that radar mark as a Russian plane, something that is changing now with the delivery of the s-300. In fact I'm sure Russia actually hopes Israel uses the f-35 more now, so they can gain information about it.

Nothing Russia has can see the F22/35. Literally nothing until its too late. They are both so small on any radar as their RCS is so tiny, you'd had to take guesses to hit it. Its RCS(radar cross section) is out of this world with both being compared to golf balls and bumble bees....

Now lets talk the S-300 and 400... Im going to leave out the 300 as the 400 completely shits on it, and well the S400 40N6 missile(its longest range one and best missle) has a RCS(radar cross section) of around 2 meters squared. So it can hit objects of 2m2 at 400km.... Thats never going to happen at that distance, the F22/35 would see it before it sees them, thats a fact, the F22/35 would literally be flying above Russian Soil before being seen.

To make it simple, this picture is quite accurate. If you cant see the plane until its right in front of your face, its too late.
This is why even the Chinese are investing in stealth and have the J20 and soon J31.
The Russians just pale in comparison with not even being able to get a stealth fighter of any note.

theories differ from actual war scenarios.
in theory they are "invisible", but in an actual war many of them would be intercepted and shot down and billions od dollars would be wasted.
