I doubt, I'm a huge Garry nuthugger , but if he's going to go for toqunhos leg he will have to some how expose his, I think toquknho brute strength will be too much for Gary's ankle/knee

Rosuimar Palhares is going to participate in a grappling event against arguably the number one leg locker in the game, Garry Tonon. Yeah, I know it has little to do with the UFC, but who wouldn't wanna like to watch Palhares get submitted after years and years of dirty submissions?

Garry Tonon just won an EBI while submitting all of his opponents and doing so by a dominant fashion. He stated he also has plans on moving to MMA. Anyway, it will be a great event to watch even for non-grappling fans.

I would love to see Tonon in MMA, but he more likely will be getting leg locked by Palhares IMO.

Not sure if serious, but anyway, he was a fighter in the UFC who was holding the submissions long after opponents tapped. Eventually he got kicked out and went to do the same crap at WSOF and I think now he's banned from MMA.

Props to anyone willing to fight Palhares. I know it's not cool to like and root for dirty fighters but I like Palhares. He's kind of like Mir in the sense that he's got devastating killer instinct with submissions. The difference is Mir lets go properly and Palhares holds on too long.

Garry's going down. He's significantly smaller and not as experienced.

Eh? In terms of who has had more matches at a high level then Garry is more experienced by far... Palhares did extremely well in the 2011 ADCC without being a full time grappler though, which is pretty crazy.

I wouldn't rule out either guy, Garry is a great leg locker but Palhares is huge and strong and has good technique as well. Garry does have an elite heel hooker to spar with in Eddie Cummings though.
