I don´t disagree with you, but they just fought. And that´s not how it works, unless Romero was a "big draw". He better root for Luke if he wants to get another crack at the title any time soon.

Yeah, I could see him doing that, he´s a great fighter.

But I can also see Souza doing the same. And there is Gastelum in the mix. And Brunson in the mix. And Weidman in the mix.... I don´t know if they´d favour Romero over these guys for another TS that quickly. Unless he smashes 2 or 3 relevant guys. Like I said, he better root for Luke, cause if Whittaker is champ, it´ll take longer for him to get another TS.
