Why are you getting mad at someone who's doing the proper defense?

Not the same bro, the eye is not the throat, it's not illegal but it's a bitch ass move in training... For arm on the throat is the proper defense when someone has you in sidecontrol...

He's just an odd duck. He's been training for like 20 years. He's in good shape and every once in a while he impresses me. BUT more often then not he's just doing stupid shit

I've known a couple guys like this. They're basically sadists and think inflicting pain in stupid ways is funny, but laugh about it so much and don't get upset when you do it back so it's hard to take personally.

Does anyone else prefer the forearm to be placed on the jaw? I like to turn the head. If it slips to the neck fine but i like controlling the head.

Yes, but that's dependent on the top player letting you do that to him. In my experience, most people on top find the jaw gives too much control and will move and opt for the neck instead.

yea. but i find it pretty easy to keep the grip. If they fright the grip too hard it opens other doors.

I'm a fairly libertarian grappler so I wouldn't complain, but I'd try to make them suffer by getting into side control and grinding their face with my elbow or go knee on neck and put my weight on it. Then after the roll I'd explain if they're going to be a dick you'll be a dick back.

I never said I'm getting mad. I just hate it. It's super uncomfortable. But uncomfortable is part of the game.

"Proper" just means popularly accepted. It doesn't mean it's the ONLY RIGHT way to do something. I don't know why elbow in the eye is a bitch ass move. It's a cacc move. I don't consider cacc to be bitch ass.

I like forearm on the jaw. I also like to hide my hand in the armpit. :)

No proper means is the proper position your forearm should be at, it relieves the pressure from top, your arm is safe and you can use it to escape, are there other ways? Of course but the ideal place to place the forearm is there. Is quite different than an elbow to the eye,bl which does nothing but get the other guy mad.

Are you talking the far arm or the close one? If your talking about the far arm, and you hide your arm on the armpit, wouldn't that give you the undertook?

    Avoid them during rolls.

You aren't obligated to roll with anyone, especially a cunt.

If any fucker rubbed his elbow in my eye during TRAINING, I'd pop my hip during that arm bar

I just tap and stop and then just look at them, and say "Are you serious?" with my best confused/befuddled look on my face. They usually get taken care of by someone with a higher belt eventually anyway.

There is a bloke who goes hard in every roll and I got to watch one of the higher belts school him for a solid 5 min one day. At one stage this guy was sitting crosslegged playing the air drums while the other guy turtled underneath and didn't move. The guy had gassed the other guy so much in 5 mins that he went into the fetal position haha. That's Karma haha:)

Yea, I've just tapped early and walked away before. It looks bad, but I'd rather not injure myself because of ego
