I wouldn't call any of them great, but El Mariachi was a good achievement for what he had at his disposal.

    Planet Terror is pretty good.

Desperado is very good and From Dusk Til Dawn is also a lot of fun. And while I was initially disappointed with Once Upon a Time in Mexico, I have since gained an appreciation for it.

I don't like Sin City but a lot of people do.

He occupies this weird space where I feel like I really want to like his work. Sometimes I do. I loved Sin City. Desperado was certainly not boring. But then other times I feel let down and disappointed, though I don't know why since he's generally doesnt make "great" movies.

Imo, he's badass movies on a budget. I find a majority of his movies entertaining. Desperado was pretty good. Planet terror was one of my top RR movies.

I liked that one where the old Mexican talks to this fat nanny about the beans she's cooking, saying she's going to burn the beans or something. Then he fucks her in the ass quietly so his wife won't hear from upstairs.

Anyone know the name of that one? It was a short film.

Something about beans and ass-fucking being in the same scene just made it seem so dirty.

I think he does over the top violent action & horror movies really well

    From Dusk Til Dawn
    Planet Terror
    Machete
    Sin City
    The Faculty

    ^ All good movies imo

I always forget he did The Faculty. One of the better Body Snatchers interpretations.

Yeah it's a fun movie with a surprisingly good cast for a teen horror flick.

Had a pretty good soundtrack too. Good covers of The Wall and 18.

Clea Duvall is in that movie

Man in the late 90's early 2000's if you wanted to see if a movie was bad all you had to do was check to see if she was in it

Even now she is in the Killing Room movie I recommended @shadow_priest_x

I am laughing so hard right now
