Man, I remember a time when all these other search engines existed to help me find thumbnail galleries of my favorite pornstars.
Lycos, Excite, AltaVista...
I was 11 or 12 at the time. Had to start my perversion at an early age.
Like IE, it's gone to the giant recycle bin in the sky.....
End of an era.
Sad what they did to Gopher.
FWIW, the worst search engine was Askjeeves. British tech at it's finest. The worst internet company was boo.com. They burned through $100m to make a website that wouldn't load and all did was allow you to order a t-shirt.
Best dot.com blow up website was fuckedcompany.com. Hours of lulz were had.
What's gonna happen to the email address I've had for a billion years?
AskJeeves was shit. Rubbish. P.G. Wodehouse would be rolling in his grave if he found out how terrible that POS search engine was.
Apparently the investment will change its name only:
Yeah, right. You wished you owned a part of UFC.
I wonder if my AOL and Earthlink email accounts are still active. I still have an active Hotmail account that's 18 years old.
IE is still around.
shit I still have a couple yahoo emails that I use from time to time for shit I dont want on my personal email
In the form of Edge. Turrible.
I still have a yahoo account with such an easy password that my account is probably used by other people as well as myself from time to time.
No, they make both still.
Well, they're both turrible.
Exactly. So it might as well have drowned in an unforgiving sea of pixels anyways.
Yeah... that's obvious.
Still use Yahoo to this day. I have to say that the quality of the main page is shit now. Too much of "guess what this random untalented skank wore last night or said on twitter", or "I sleep with married men, not only am I not ashamed I'm empowered." Half the articles read like a 13 year old's blog with poor spelling and with most of the article just made up of random tweets.
