Rico Verhoeven just publically challenged Bonjasky on television

Adegbuyi should fight that bum Gerasimchuk next, because Rico is busy with Hari or he should take Londt first.

On the other hand, Bonjasky retired at the Romanian seaside..

Pathetic, Verhoeven has to take the rematch against Badr, plus Londt and Adegbuyi that are the official challengers now.

Verhoeven beat Adegbuyi twice rather clearly... So you can't act as if he's dodging him, also Londt is coming off a loss to Ben Saddik.

Nobody needs to see this.
I loved watching Remy but he has what one fight in the past 3 years and prior to that lost to Silva,Spong and Saddik back to back to back. He hasnt won a fight in just over 4 years.

This smacks of no fights out there for Rico and him wanting names on his resume.

Id rather seem Overeem move away from MMA and get back into Kickboxing.
Not that it would be the same horse beef eating overeem from K1

Do you still follow Glory? Londt and Adegbuyi won contender tournaments, Glory is obliged to give them a shot.

Londt beat Wilnis and Silva, Adegbuyi: Gerges and Brestovac.

Rules are rules.

On one hand yes, on the other...did you see Londt make a fool out of both himself and Ben Saddik? At this moment, I don't think any of them deserves a fight against Verhoeven. They will be obliterated by Rico. Adegbuyi recently lost twice from the champ, so he's irrelevant at this point.
I'd rather see Verhoeven fight Gerasimchuk...the guy needs to revenge that loss, and not go after retired old school masters.

Off night over 2 years ago in China, Gerasimchuk isn't anything special. He's also not in Glory.
Doesn't matter if it was an off night, it's a loss that needs to be avenged and they can build up a narrative for that fight unlike other options outside Hari. He could easily be signed to Glory, but they have taken the stance of acting as if he, and his fight against Rico, doesn't exist.

They also let him defend against Silva last September... And then Hari in a non-title match, so they clearly aren't concerned with honoring title shots immediately. I have no interest in a fight with Bonjasky, but I can definitely see them putting it together.

Is it? He's only fought for Kunlun Fight for the last 2 1/2 years. Has he expressed interest in fighting with Glory?

Who knows I don't speak his language and haven't seen any of his interviews. Kunlun isn't signing guys exclusively, he's fighting there because he is getting consistent opportunities from them. All Glory needs to do is give him a call when they are planning an event in Europe. It's not difficult.

What kind of a pussy call out is this

Next thing you know he's going to call out Murko.

If you don"t want to give YET another chance for Adegbuyi (he switched to the Netherlands last years) or a chance for Londt (who might look different than against Ben Saddik), you make Verhoeven vs. Badr. But if you decide to send Remy instead of Hari, it"s ok. But soon after the contender tournaments winners must fight against the title holder whoever will be.

Otherewise the rules are useless. We already have two official challengers waiting, because of the first fight between Rico and Badr, not just one.

If you follow the timeline of events, it was Remy who called out Rico, not the other way around. Remy jumped on the bandwagon after Saki sent his challenge following the Badr fight. Rico had no reason to call out Remy at all. He was simply answering questions about being challenged. The Badr fight will happen. The Londt fight will happen unless Ismael declines for some reason and Saki will return. It's still a question as to who Saki would fight for his comeback and in which weight class. Benny is owed another shot at Rico but my guess is that it will be down the line somewhere depending on scheduling. It's an interesting matchup since he now trains with Rico full time.

they really need to stop these damn 4 man tournaments. especially with 2 title fights a card and with how many events they claim they are going to run. That means half the guys getting title shots now do not have to win the stupid tournament so they should sack the whole concept

All of what you said is reasonable but what you didn't answer is why Glory hasn't went after Gerasimchuk? You've got a great storyline to work with there with Rico catching an upset loss looking to redeem, and you have the benefit that most likely Rico destroys him in the rematch. Even better its a competitive match and you have a trillogy. With so few options out there it seems like a no brainer.

that would mean they would have to actually publicly recognize the loss. they have done everything they can to hide it as they have explicitly told the broadcasters not to talk about it

You'd be surprised at how easy it is to get hungry for horse meat again.

that's what I thought too. they repeat everytime that Rico is in this unbeaten streak with the ambiguous angle that yes, he is on an unbeaten streak in Glory. so they already wasted the "avenging the loss" storyline. although of course it would be the best storyline right now for Rico.

and it's ridiculous that they explicitly told broadcasters not to touch that subject. where did you hear this?
