everybody wants bigger government when their guys are in charge, smaller government when the other guys are

Because 'small government' is just code for social welfare programs duh.

Republicans, except for its small Old Right/Libertarian leaning segment, has never been about small government. Hell their idol Ronald Reagan was known to have made national debt skyrocket.

Military spending is also part of big government.
The amount of money spent on that budget is absurd.

The GOP is totally all about small government.
Unless it concerns reaching into private lives to legislate morality, then they're fine with government intrusion.

any day now its gonna trickle right on down ...................jesus told me so

It's a matter of who you give the cuts to. A labor intensive business in an industry with a high employment multiplier might very well have that affect. Corporate tax cuts to the finance sector are unlikely to go to anyone but the execs/shareholders of those companies (though if the cuts had the effect of repatriating wealth they still may have a net economic benefit)

can you give an example of an intensive business with high employment multiplier, cos i remain unconvinced the workers as a whole benefit, reagan started that doctrine and it hasnt produced results
