Yeah they aren't pointing out that most of the map is red. They get why that would be the case. They are pointing out that the shapes of the districts which are designed to pack demographics/areas that lean Democrat into as few districts as possible. That's how you get a state with a 50/50 party split in most elections but a 70/30 split in representation.

It's a pretty simple concept really.

You could look up population centers around there and then come up with an argument but dem dar publicans bad is easier
