Meltzer had this yesterday:
So there are reports that Darren Till, who is fighting at 170 on Sunday, was weighing 216 pounds a couple of days ago.

Amazing how far fighters (Till, Dern) think they can cut in a few days.
216?
If he was even 210 he might have made it

He was relishing how big he was on social media. Move him up to LHW and make him the opponent for Rumble's comeback fight.

He's lying. And Meltzer is gullible AF. There's no way Till cut 19.2% of his body weight in water (216-174.5=41.5 41.5/216=0.192). They did a study last year and the biggest cut recorded was 16.7%.

Wonderboy shouldn't take the fight, but he'll probably get pressured to by UFC. 20% of Till's purse isnt worth losing to a guy who's coming in at LHW.

This.

I call bullshit.

What study? Who was involved? Elite athletes? Were they starting from a bloated state?

If he was 216 a couple days ago it's safe to assume he'd be 216 on fight night... That's just fucked lol. If he was 216 against Cerrone who weighs 174 on fight night...

Nah, might be less
but still its fn asinine to be that big & think of making it

He weighed 90 kg vs Cerrone (if you believe him). That's 198-200 lbs depending on the hectos.

UFC fighters and Bellator fighters. Comparing contracted weigh in weight to fight night weight.
https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2017/5/...eight-cut-10-percent-dangerous-weigh-in-rules

One guy in Bellator cut 17.0%. Biggest UFC cut was 16.7%

The results contained three numbers - the weight a fighter was contracted to fight at, the weight the fighters weighed in on the study scale (which tended to be a few pounds heavier than their weigh-in weight, as they had generally already started drinking), and the weight the fighter was on fight day.

The study makes no mention of "days before".

How much difference could there be? You're not gonna lose a large amount of fat or muscle in a few days.

if thats true then he at least put in a massive attempt to make weight...... but if it is I highly doubt he is in top physical condition for this fight
