Reminder: Ariel Helwani thinks MMA shouldn't be called Violent

it's not violence.

Fighting is a sport.
Fighting is pure.

Who cares about his opinion? He’s a hack wannabe journalist who cries when he doesn’t get his own way.

Not everyone needs to like MMA, and those who are a part of it don't need to make believe it ain't violent. Because it is.

It's a sport, but it's a violent sport. Deal with it.

It really depends on what you mean by violence.

It IS violence, and we love it. It's a sport where you are trying to HURT your opponent, you are trying to knock them out or break their arm or leg, whatever choke them out cold if they don't tap. Fans root for knockouts and bone breaking submissions. Ariel is a twat.

It's Violence. It's NOT just a sport. It's okay to appreciate the artistic aspects of it, but you're watching TWO GUYS TRY TO PUNCH EACHOTHER UNCONSCIOUS OR CHOKE THEM OUT

So non-violent.

It is a violent sport. Those guys are looking to hurt one another. There is no way around that.

It is all about who is the most effective violent man inside the octagon

That's why Jones and Silva are the GOATs

Cmon, it's not violent. It's just play fighting.

Helwani has never been a fan of the sport of MMA period. He never talks about fights. He talks about tweets, gossip, promotion, money but the actually fight stuff doesn't excite him in the least.

The way he tried to call out Francis after he starched Overeem shows he doesn't know wtf it's like to be a fighter. Deal with the nerves, fear, anxiety and desperation to win. All he cares about is the fan fare wwe bullshit.
