I had always wonder if Rittidet Kerdpayak had boxed at all, he always seemed like he'd make a decent boxer, and it seems that he did. He, seemingly, boxed for Thailand at bantamweight in the 1994 Asian games in Hiroshima and 1994 World Cup in Bangkok.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing_at_the_1994_Asian_Games

In case you don't know who I'm talking about, it's this guy (the description says Rittidet Sor. Ploenchit but this is a mistake, Rittidet Sor. Ploenchit fought during the Golden Era at somewhere closer to 110lbs and fought Samson, Singdam and others):

Is it a rule that fighters from one gym never fight each other?
Like Superbank and Superlek never fought since 2014 because they are both of Mor. Rattabandit.

Speaking of which, Mor. Rattabandit is Rattabandit University, not a gym, right? Does it just sponsor them or do uni's in Thailand actually train their own muay thai teams?

Yes it is a university but they do also have a gym. The fighters do not train there full time thou and still spend the majority of there training at the original camp. I believe the coach original did not want them to fight but eventually agreed that they could if i am remembering what rob informed us right

Yeah not sure why jompichit was behind going into the 5th, I guess the shots that Pettaksin landed in the 4th were enough to turn the tide but even in that round jompichit was landing unanswered strikes.

Not that he necessarily plays this role, but he's something like a gatekeeper. Decent fighter, but been around long enough now that it's established he's not going to be a top fighter. The type of fighter you give a couple pounds to a better fighter who might be struggling a bit.

Good reaction and survival instincts by the guy in blue. Clinched up fast after taking that shot but it was too powerful.

That was the Panpayak vs Superbank fight, with a lot of talk before that it wouldn't happen over the issue of both using the name and the proffesor not wanting them to fight, Superbank's dad stated if he had to change the gym name he wouldn't fight, in the end Panpayak reverted back to Jitmuangnon if I remember right and it went ahead. In the past you had a few fighters using the Wor Sangprapai name and Petpanomrung went back to using Kiatmuu 9 as they wanted to set up him vs Petmorakot, again don't quote me on that as memory not the best at my age :p

wow a card like that makes my heart warm.

Yothin vs. Kiewpayak just fought back-to-back no?

and why Sangmanee vs. Kaimukkao again? is it supposed to be a build up fight for Sangmanee?

also I know right now isn't the right time but I wonder why aren't they setting up Panpayak vs. Sangmanee more often.

Yothin is 2-0 against Kiewpayak as far as I know. Not sure why they set up Kaimookao/Sangmanee, seems a bit underwhelming but I guess Kaimookao fights well backing up and Sangmanee sometimes struggles when he is forced to play the aggressor.

An awful lot of fighters are (were) affiliated with this uni. What's so special about it, does it have a scholarship for nak muays? Do they actually study there like going to lectures and doing homework, or is it some scheme to be a fighter with a university student status for whatever reason?
